Sister *****, in the name of Jesus Christ and in the authority of the holy priesthood and as an ordained patriarch of Zion, I lay my hands on your head and I give you a patriarchal blessing. I say to you Sister ***** that the Lord loves you and is pleased with you and your attitude in life and your desire to be righteous, and your obedience and He will continue to bless you.

You are of the house of Ephraim and you will be blessed with his tribal strength all the days of your life. I say to you to continue to be a good student of the scriptures so that you will have a thorough understanding of the household of Israel and of the meaning of the blessing of Ephraim. You are a chosen spirit, having fulfilled your first estate and you are therefore permitted to come forth in the dispensation in the fullness of times. You will have great contributions to make in the building up of Zion in these last days. You will have responsibilities in church activity and I say to you to be willing and diligent in the discharge of your duties in the church and the Lord will strengthen you and bless you that you may accomplish the things that you should.

I also say to you to prepare to be a good wife and mother. Study the things of the household. Be prepared at the appropriate time to be married in the temple that the Lord will bless you with this opportunity. Be prepared to build up your husband as a priesthood holder and as the head of your house; but you will have the responsibility of teaching your children at your knee the basic principles of the gospel and to instill in them the respect and love for the priesthood and for the church which they should have.

I say to you also to develop your skills in genealogy. The opportunities are great for you and your family in this field that many of your ancestors are now prepared to have the work done for them in the temple. They have heard the gospel and are ready to accept these things. Be strong in your faith in yourself and be positive that the Lord has endowed you with talents and wisdom and you will make good decisions. Seek after a good education. Be prepared to earn your living for a period until you are married and your husband and you have established yourselves. Be an influence for good among your associates. Be a missionary at heart and speak up with your friends and encourage them to study the gospel Pray to the Lord that He will guide you and inspire you that you may do this properly.

I bless you to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection. I say to you that you will find your life beset with temptation, that the Devil will seek after your soul. You will be tempted with the things of the flesh and also with the desire for riches and you will be tempted to drop your activity in the church. The Devil will seek to discourage you in your activities and I say to you to determine now that you will not let this happen. Pray to the Lord for strength and then the Devil will have no power over you.

All your blessings depend upon your continued obedience and I say again that the Lord loves you for your obedience now and for your desires and He will watch over you and protect you, if you but remain humble and faithful. I seal you up to come forth in the resurrection of the Just and I do it in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
