*****, by the authority of the holy Melchizedek Priesthood and in my calling as an ordained patriarch in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I pronounce upon you your patriarchal blessing, and in doing so I seek the direction of Almighty God that you may receive those blessings and promises, those words of comfort and counsel that He has for you. *****, I confirm to you, and bless you that you may feel by the power of the Holy Ghost that you are a chosen son of God, foreordained in the premortal existence to come to earth at this time. You made promises, and were given assignments and a work to do. You have come to earth with a believing heart, with the gift of testimony, and with many other spiritual gifts and talents. You were reserved to come at this time, and you were prepared to participate in the building up of Zion and in the gathering of Israel.

You came into mortality as a descendant of Abraham, and you are part of the family of Israel. You are of the lineage of Ephraim. I bless you to know that God is mindful of you. He knows you perfectly, and as a member of this great family you are entitled to the promises and blessings that were given to Abraham. God desires for you to receive these blessings in your life, and I bless you now that you may continue to go forward in faith with a desire to know the will of God and a desire to seek His counsel. As you build your foundation on the Savior, and as you discipline your life and continue in study, feasting upon the words of Christ, your mind will be enlightened, your understanding will become more clear, and your appreciation for the great plan of the eternal God will increase. You will love the scriptures and will come to an even greater appreciation of the doctrinal truths contained in the Book of Mormon, and those truths, those principles of righteousness, will have tremendous impact in your life. You will love the gift of repentance, you will experience the blessing of spiritual rebirth, and you will be filled with the desire to do good and to share eternal truths with those around you. Your love for the living prophets will increase, and you will be blessed in times of difficulty to have faith and trust in their words and to follow their counsel. As you do this, you will be strengthened, you will be protected from evil, you will be given the ability to see those things that will bring happiness and peace into your life, and you will be given strength to shun the adversary, and to flee from evil, and to avoid the distractions of this world.

As you exert your energy and as you approach things with the spirit of industry, you will find the career path that you should prepare for. Our Heavenly Father knows where He wants you to be, and you will be given the opportunity to receive the education and training needed to be of great service among your fellowmen. You will find work, you will be blessed with the ability to provide for yourself and your family and with the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a very worthwhile contribution. As you move forward in faith and trust, you will feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost continually. When you find yourself distracted or needing to overcome faults or needing to be more humble, if you will get on your knees and seek strength and direction from heaven, our Heavenly Father and His Son will give you that strength. I bless you with the ability to organize your life, to manage your resources, to use your time and your energy and your financial resources to pursue those things which are best.

You will love the kingdom of God. You will be given ample opportunity to be of service. You will receive callings and responsibilities. Many times you will feel that the assignments you are given are beyond your capability, but these callings will be a blessing. You will grow from them, you will develop Christlike attributes, you will be of service, you will be given the ability to communicate and to articulate the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ with power and authority, and our Heavenly Father will assist you in your desire to become more comfortable in conversing with people and becoming their friend. I bless you with a love for the work of salvation. Throughout your life you will be given opportunity to raise your voice in testimony. You will love the temples of God and the ordinances of the temple, and you will feel the Spirit of Elijah in your life pressing you to participate in providing saving ordinances to family members who await those blessings.

Our Heavenly Father is very aware of your strengths. You are observant. You conduct yourself with dignity, and this will serve you well throughout your life. It is important that you prepare yourself, that you study the teachings of the living prophets about the doctrine of the family, that you become familiar with the responsibilities of a husband and father. At the appropriate time, you will be led to your eternal companion and be blessed to receive sacred priesthood ordinances that will bind you together as husband and wife for time and for all eternity. I bless you with prudent judgment, with wisdom, with insight, that you might prepare for that day. I bless you that you will work with your wife to establish a home of righteousness, for children will be sent to your family and you will have the responsibility to teach and train them and to help them understand the doctrine and gospel of Jesus Christ. It will be your privilege to be an example and to work with your wife to lead your children back to their Heavenly Father.

I bless you with an awareness of those around you. You have a sensitivity to others, and our Heavenly Father will place you in circumstances where you will identify those who need words of encouragement or a helping hand. I bless you to be aware of those opportunities, and to follow the Spirit, and to use your priesthood in blessing your brothers and sisters. You will be a blessing in your family, and you will be a force for good. You will be an example, and your siblings and your family members will grow in their faith and confidence because of your goodness.

Now the time in these days of mortal probation will pass quickly. Our Heavenly Father will bless you and protect you so that you can do the work you have been sent to do, but the day will come when your work is completed and He will call you home. I bless you with hope and confidence that this will be a day of rejoicing. You will reunite with faithful Saints and loved ones. You can have confidence that, because of the Savior's sacrifice and because of His divine resurrection, if you are faithful and obedient, you will rise in the morning of the first resurrection prepared to receive all of the blessings of exaltation.

It is critical that you always remember your true identity. You are a son of God. You are part of the family of Israel. You hold the holy priesthood. You have a work to do. I bless you with strength and confidence to know that in times of trial or frustration or difficulty our Heavenly Father and His Son will strengthen you and help you. There will be nothing that occurs in this life that will harm you. Their eyes are upon you. You will have peace and joy and blessing, notwithstanding the tribulation that will exist in this world. I bless you with wisdom to know how to care for your body that you might have health and strength. I bless you with confidence, with happiness, with optimism that you might truly have the joy that is intended for the righteous in this state of mortal probation.
