Brother *****, by the power of the Melchizedek Priesthood which I hold, through the office of patriarch, I place my hands on your head and give you your patriarchal blessing.

*****, you come through the tribe of Ephraim and in so doing you share in the responsibilities and blessings given to those who come through that lineage.

*****, because of your lineage, you will have the responsibility throughout your life to bless the lives of others. There will be many ways in which you will be able to accomplish that responsibility. There will be the temporal blessings that you will be able to give to others, the spiritual blessings that will be there, and just the opportunity to share your joyful life, the knowledge that you have of the gospel, and the opportunity to just be in the lives of others.

*****, you have a great ability to be able to feel of the Spirit. Throughout your life you will be guided by that still, small voice. *****, you will also feel feelings when it is necessary to help you in carrying out your responsibilities that you will have here upon the earth. Those feelings at times will not feel strong, and you will wonder if they are just your own thinking. If those thoughts and those feelings lead you to do good, then they come from your Father in Heaven. If you have doubts about what you should be doing, then they do not come from your Father in Heaven.

*****, you live at a time when sin is rampant upon the earth. Because of your strong ability to obey the commandments of the Lord, Lucifer is there trying to draw you away. As you travel this earth life, do those things that you know to be right. That CTR, Choose the Right, will be a guide throughout your life. So study the scriptures daily.

*****, you have the ability to do much good throughout your life, and that good will be prompted from your Father in Heaven through the Holy Ghost. As you study the scriptures, you will feel of the Spirit. You will have a greater desire to do what is right. Because of that desire the Lord will help you and strengthen you. As you pray to your Father in Heaven, He will bless you with the strength you need to carry out those many responsibilities that will be yours.

You will have the opportunity to go to serve on a full-time mission. You will be pleased with where you will go. You will be called on many times to use your priesthood to help others. *****, on that mission you will be protected from evil or harm, and you will be guided and directed.

Before you go on that mission you will have the opportunity to enter the house of the Lord to receive your endowment and to receive the power from on high that you will need to carry out your mission. When you are in the temple you will feel of a special spirit. You will know that what you are doing is the will of the Lord. And each time you go to the temple you will again be strengthened in your ability to choose the right and in your ability to receive revelation from your Father in Heaven.

You have had the opportunity to be raised in the Church and in that time you have been taught the gospel. You have developed a testimony of the truthfulness of it. *****, there is much to be learned, and much strength to be gained. And this will be done as you study, as you pray, and as you serve in your Father's kingdom.

You have the opportunity to serve in the Aaronic Priesthood. It will be a short period of time and you will be given the Melchizedek Priesthood. That gives you greater responsibility but also greater power to serve your Father in Heaven by blessing the lives of others. Honor that priesthood. If temptation comes your way to turn away from the gospel, remember your blessing and your opportunity to be of service to others throughout your life, for you will live a long life.

You will be called to many positions in your Father's kingdom. In those positions you will be called on to give much of your time. You will be inspired and directed in those callings. And there will be many who will thank you for the efforts that you have put forth, and they will thank your family as well.

*****, you will have the opportunity to take a choice daughter of your Father in Heaven to the temple to be sealed for time and eternity. Into your union will come sons and daughters. You and your wife will have the opportunity to raise them to adulthood. Because of your love for the gospel, for your wife, and your children and for her desire to be of service to your Father in Heaven, and to love you, and your children, you will be able to raise them to adulthood and give them the knowledge they need to be true to the gospel. You will also be a guide to them as they plan their lives. They will take you into their confidences. Love them. Do those things that you know to be right to help them to gain that testimony.

*****, these blessings are yours, contingent upon your faithfulness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
