Brother *****, by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, and as a duly ordained patriarch in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I humbly place my hands upon your head and give unto you, your patriarchal blessing. This blessing, dear brother, can be a guide to you throughout your life, for it will outline some of your life's possibilities. It can give you a better understanding of the straight and narrow path that should be followed to eventually return back into the presence of our Heavenly Father. Strive to live worthy of the blessings that can be yours.

Heavenly Father knows you personally and He loves you. You dwelt with Heavenly Father in the pre-mortal existence and you enjoyed your association with Him there. You were given opportunities there to learn and progress. The time came when it was necessary for you to be born into mortality so that you could continue your progression. You were privileged to be raised in a family in which there was love and in a family that would enjoy the blessings of the restored gospel. You can avoid many of the pitfalls of this life if you will heed the counsel of your parents. Strive to honor your family name.

You should rejoice this day for you come through choice lineage. You are of the House of Ephraim, son of Joseph, a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Many of the blessing promised to this choice line may be fulfilled to a measure during your lifetime as you strive to do your part in building the kingdom here on earth.

Dear brother, choose your friends carefully, for they will influence your desire to keep the standards of the church. The adversary will tempt you to take detours off the straight and narrow path, for he desires you to be miserable like unto himself. I bless you with the spiritual strength to resist his temptations and to stay on the path that leads to happiness.

I bless you physically to have the strength to fulfill your life's work. I bless your mind to be able to think clearly so that you can make good decisions during your lifetime. I bless you emotionally to be able to cope with the challenges that you will have to face from time to time as a normal part of life.

As you keep yourself worthy, the time will come when you will have the opportunity to serve a mission in a place that you will come to enjoy. You will experience success on your mission as you put away the things of the world. Remember to be humble in your successes so that Heavenly Father will continue to bless you. It will be your privilege to preach the message of the restored gospel to many whom Heavenly Father has prepared to hear it. You will have opportunities to see the gospel positively change the lives of some of whom you come in contact with.

Dear brother, be very selective when the time comes for choosing your eternal companion. Date those with high standards. The time will come when you will know in your heart and in your mind, someone special whom you desire to marry. It will be your privilege to enter the temple with this special person to be married and sealed for time and all eternity. Take good care of your eternal companion. Help her to become all that she can be. If you will sustain her in her duties, she will support you in your priesthood responsibilities. Together you will have the opportunity of establishing righteous traditions within your home. Strive to make your home a place of learning, a place of happiness, and a refuge from the storms and difficulties of this life.

In due time, your marriage will be blessed with children. I bless you to be a good father to all the children that Heavenly Father blesses you with. I bless you to be a stable influence in their lives and a good example to them. Teach your children the gospel in your home and help prepare them for the time when they will leave hom so that they will know how to stay on the straight and narrow path throughout their lives. You will experience much happiness during your lifetime, especially in your family life.

You have been blessed with many gifts and talents. You have been blessed with the gifts of knowledge and wisdom. You will have opportunities to bless many lives as you utilize these gifts. You will have opportunities to serve in many leadership capacities in the chruch, for you have been foreordained to be a leader. I bless you to be able to fulfill any responsibility that is extended to you by your church leaders. You will become especially talented in teaching the youth of the church. You will help many to stay on the straight and narrow path throughout their lives.

I bless you as you approach important decisions and crossroads during your life to remember that Heavenly Father is there to bless you as you humbly turn to Him in prayer. Be humble and prayerful in your important responsibilities as husband and father and He will direct you.

You will have opportunities to provide essential ordinances in the temple for many who have already passed on who did not have the opportunity to receive their ordinances while they were in mortality. You will enjoy going to the House of the Lord.

It will be your privilege to enjoy close relationships with each of your family members. You will have experiences that will draw you together as a family and will help you to eventually become an eternal family.

You will live a long, happy and useful life. When your work here on earth has been completed, it will be your privilege to come forth in a glorious resurrection and continue on in the Celestial Kingdom with your family.

Remember, these blessings are predicated upon your faithfulness. Strive each day of your life to remain worthy of the blessings that can be yours.
