Sister *****: Having the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, I lay my hands upon your head to give unto you a patriarchal blessing that you may receive wisdom and knowledge from your Heavenly Father concerning your life.

I bless you that you may know and feel the great love that He has for you. He loves you for the purity of your heart and for your desire to do that which is right. He desires to bless you, and He will do so according to your faith and trust in Him.

You have been born of parents who love you and who have tried to teach you correctly. Even though our family life has not been all that you would have desired, your parents love you, and you can do a great work in their behalf by sharing with them the testimony that you have of the gospel. In the course of events, you will express your faith and testimony to them. Do not speak of tenets, nor argue, nor enter into any contentious discussion. Simply express your love for them and your sisters.

Live your life so that they will see your faith and your obedience to that which you know is true. Express your confidence and your conviction in the truth of the Book of Mormon and in the calling of the Prophet Joseph Smith and of the restoration of the gospel. Express your faith in your Savior, and teach them that He gave His life a sacrifice for sin to answer the ends of the law unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And unto none else can the ends of the law be answered. Therefore, you must live your life in the spirit of repentance, and so must they if they desire to be in the eternal kingdom of Heavenly Father.

You have come to the earth through a choice lineage, even through the lineage of Joseph and Ephraim that you might enjoy the blessings pertaining to this lineage. The blessings of this lineage are great, for the children of Ephraim have been given the responsibility and calling to teach the gospel throughout the earth.

It will be your great privilege to share the gospel with many. You have a kind, gentle, and forgiving spirit. Many will be drawn unto you, for they will sense the goodness of your heart and the honesty and truthfulness of your actions. As you speak the gospel, they will not be able to disbelieve your words. Heavenly Father's Spirit will be with you and His angels round about you to bear you up. You will teach many of the restoration. It will be a great joy to you and will give you strength.

You have come to your present family because of your faith. You have brought the gospel into your family lineage. Your posterity will look back upon you in generations to come and will be grateful for your great faith and sacrifices so that they might have the gospel.

Honor your parents. Keep the laws of the land. Expand your mind and knowledge by study and also by faith. As you do this, Heavenly Father's Spirit will be with you. You will be given the strength and knowledge to provide for your need until you find that special companion whom Heavenly Father has prepared for you.

Let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly. Then you will be led by His Spirit to one whom you will recognize because of his faithfulness in keeping Heavenly Father's commandments. He will honor the knowledge that he has of the gospel. The two of you will enter the House of the Lord, there to be sealed for time and eternity to begin your eternal companionship.

Heavenly Father will bless you with special spirits who will come to be your children. You must teach them to pray and to walk uprightly before their Heavenly Father. If you will do this, they will grow up to honor, love, and obey you, and you and your companion will have joy and rejoicing in your posterity.

You will have trials in your family. These will strengthen you. You must not become discouraged and feel that Heavenly Father has forgotten you, for He has not. He will stand by you in every trial through which you are called to pass. Evil has been poured out upon the earth, and your family will not be spared the effects of some of this. But thought temptation and trials may come before you, your husband and children will be protected if they will stand in holy places. As you recognize the evil that comes before your family, you will teach your loved ones what they must do to remain true and faithful to Heavenly Father.

Your life is known to your ancestors. They are depending upon you to do for them that which they cannot do for themselves. Many of them were true and faithful to the light and knowledge which they had. They did not receive the gospel for the knew not where to find it. You will bring the gospel to them by having ordinances performed for them in the temple. You will seek out the records of their existence. They will help you from the unseen world.

You will be called to certain responsible callings in the church. It will be your privilege to teach the gospel to your sisters in Relief Society. You will even stand before the congregations of the righteous, and, in some instances, before congregations who have not yet received the gospel. You will teach and declare the knowledge which you have.

I seal upon you the blessings of life and health. I seal you up to come forth on the morning of the first resurrection, clothed with glory and immortality and crowned with eternal life with your companion to rule and reign in the House of Israel forever. And to your increase there shall be no end.

Now, Sister *****, Satan is abroad in the land. He will seek to tempt you and draw you away from your Heavenly Father. But you must put your trust in that Spirit which leads to do good, to do justly, to judge righteously and to walk humbly. This is Heavenly Father's Spirit. If you will do this, you will be led away from every power of evil. I bless you with the necessities of life. These will be provided if you will be diligent. And you will not fear, for you will feel Heavenly Father's protecting arms about you.

You must remember that all these blessings are contingent upon your faithfulness. I seal them upon you by the power of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
