Brother *****, in the name of Jesus Christ, and by the authority of the Holy Melchizedek priesthood, I lay my hands upon your head this day as an ordained Patriarch for the purpose of granting your Patriarchal blessing.

Brother *****, this day know of your greatness. Know of the love that your heavenly father has for you and know that you are a special son to bear a special witness and bear record of Jesus Christ, of His great life, of His atoning sacrifice and that He will return once again to this earth. You have been sent to this earth to be a messenger. You will be sent to the four-corners of this earth, crying repentance unto the inhabitants of this earth and proclaiming this great message. You will be likened unto John the Baptist of old in that your task will become difficult, will become weighty and yet you will receive blessings and you will be ministered to by many ministering angels. You will be buoyed up in times of need and given at all times the necessities of this life. As you proclaim your message, the day will come on this earth when you will be able to partake of the wealth and generosity of the earth for many great blessings will be poured upon you.

For the purpose that has just been pronounced, you must know that you are of the tribe of Ephraim, who is the son of Joseph and that one of your blessings through this tribe will be the greatness of your missionary efforts as you sojourn upon this earth. So great will become the efforts of your missionary work, that many will partake of the gospel of Jesus Christ, submit unto Him through the waters of baptism and in that great day of his return to this earth, thousands upon thousands will sing praises unto your name for that which you have accomplished while in the flesh.

*****, know that in your pre-mortal life you were taught of your mission upon this earth. You were taught by the great prophets of old and you knew the prophets of the latter days. *****, you had a special relationship with Joseph Smith and you witnessed his life from the very beginning until those tragic final moments at Carthage. Know that you were one of the very first to greet him as he completed his mission on this earth and passed through the holy veil into the glories of the eternities. You have praised his name since the day you became a son of Heavenly Father and embraced the plan of the great Jehovah.

As you go forward, fear not for heavenly father will send guardian angels to protect your path and to mark the way. You will have great visions opened unto to you and you will be able to recognize the evil snares and pitfalls that Satan will lay before you, this because of your greatness and your ability and that which you must accomplish. Satan desires your soul and will do all in His power to impede and slow your progress. *****, seek and gain at your father's hands, the power of the holy Melchizedek priesthood, even the Holy Priesthood after the order of the Son of God. Protect your worthiness to bear this great priesthood. Never defile your body in any manner. Study and learn from the best of books. Be careful as you choose friends upon this earth. Choose friends who are like unto you. Choose friends who are like unto your father and your mother, who honor, obey and sustain the kingdom of God here upon this earth.

*****, understand that as the time comes you will have the opportunity to not only receive of the holy Melchizedek priesthood, but to go to the temple and there receive the endowment wherein you will be taught all that is necessary that will enable you to one day enter back into the presence of Heavenly Father. You have the opportunity after you have completed a full-time, two-year service mission unto your heavenly father, to meet a young lady. You will take her to the temple. There you will be sealed for time and all eternity. She will be your key to exaltation into the Celestial Kingdom. You will have the opportunity to have given unto you all the temple ordinances that pertain unto this life that will enable you to gain exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom.

*****, fear not. Be not afraid. Go forth from this blessing knowing that Heavenly Father loves you. Pray unto Him daily for guidance and support. Thank Him for the opportunity of being on this earth in these latter days and having been born of goodly parents. That you may throughout your entire life follow their great example. Many other blessings await you. Blessing of hope and inspiration, of visions, of strength, of being a leader in Zion that many priesthood brethren will see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.

You will have the opportunity as you so serve to one day while still in the flesh to gaze upon the face of the Master, Jesus Christ, and know who He is. You will have the opportunity to see the nail prints in His hands, His wrists, His feet. As you gaze upon Him you will have further opportunity to see the wound in His side that was opened as a further witness of His love for you and for all mankind. It will be easy for you to understand the principle of repentance for God will be speedy in His forgiveness of your weaknesses and your imperfections as you become one of His great priesthood leaders upon the face of this earth in these latter days. in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
