Dear Brother *****, by the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood and as an ordained patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is a great privilege and honor to place my hands upon your head and bestow upon you a patriarchal blessing. These blessings are given to faithful members of the Church at their request and are done in accordance with the revealed truths that have been granted to mankind from a loving Heavenly Father. You have been blessed to come into this life to gain a body, to prove yourself worthy and to gain earthly experiences. The blessing of living in this dispensation is a result of your faithfulness and your obedience in a pre-mortal existence. You proved yourself worthy in your first estate and will be found worthy of the blessings and promises in this second estate.

You have been blessed to come forth into a family that is filled with love and the light of Christ. You have a testimony of the gospel and the marvelous Restoration and will continually be added upon through your faithfulness, through your studies and through your prayers. Seek the companionship of the Holy Spirit and you will receive the whisperings and guidance that comes to favored sons of the Most High. Your testimony will grow into full conversion, you will establish your eternal identity and find happiness all the days of your life. You are a descendant of the house of Israel and the tribe of Ephraim. As a son of the Most High and of the seed of Abraham you are entitled to all of those duties, responsibilities and blessings that come to faithful sons.

Let your light continue to shine among your fellowmen. You will be instrumental in lifting the lives of others. You will be a marvelous example to the youth in Zion. They will see in your countenance and hear in your spoken word the marvelous truths that will in turn be blessings unto them. Let your eyes and your ears continue to be alert to the truths that established the goodness and proof of the Restoration. Be mindful of the marvelous work that has burst forth upon the face of the earth and the great counsel you receive from Jesus Christ, as it falls from the lips of a living prophet.

You will have great cause to rejoice in the goodness of this life and the promise of eternal life. Look about you and recognize the greatness of all that your Father in Heaven has created. Everything you keenly observe will testify to you of the divinity of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his great atoning power. You are called upon to participate in the redemption of mankind even as you enter into the Holy Temple and there participate in the great and marvelous work for those who have died without an opportunity to participate in those everlasting covenants.

Health and strength will be yours because of your goodness and because of your observance of the laws of health. Gifts and talents will continually be added upon you. Your knowledge and your understanding of life and the goodness of all that has been given will continue to grow. Let virtue continue to flow through your mind and through your thoughts, so chastity will continue to bless you. Look about you and you will see the happiness and joy of those who keep the commandments and the misery and suffering of those who fall by the wayside, because they did not kneel in prayer and seek the companionship of the Holy Spirit when faced with trials and challenges.

Seek guidance in your private place, in your own private wilderness and your Father in Heaven will answer you personally and individually. He knows you personally. Express gratitude unto Him for your many blessings. Thanksgiving and gratitude show signs of humility, which is one of the great characteristics of your family heritage.

Be very patient and diligent as you seek the companionship of an eternal companion. You will take her into the Holy Temple and there be sealed in the new and everlasting covenant of marriage. Return there often that you might be instructed to receive those marvelous blessings that come to those who participate in the sacred marriage covenants. She will be a marvelous blessing unto you and you in turn will bless her life as you look after her every need and take good care of her. Provide for her and she will become a great homemaker in Zion. There is no greater calling than to be a mother of your sons and your daughters. Teach them in righteousness. Teach them of true principals. Prepare now for that which you will teach them, that your home will become a haven of peace and goodness and a light in the midst of so much darkness that continues to grow upon the face of the earth. You and your faithful companion will find that great joy and happiness that is found in the temples of the Most High, as you participate in the redemption of mankind.

Seek the companionship of the Holy Scriptures. The Book of Mormon will testify to you, over and over again, of the goodness of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It will help you to center your lift and your focus on the happiness that comes by holding fast to the iron rod. Always be mindful that every happiness and every joy that could come to mankind in this life and throughout eternity is encompassed within the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its teaching. You will have many callings come to you. You will have many missionary opportunities. Rejoice in each of them. Enter each of them with a happy heart and a happy countenance, for this is truly a characteristic that you have inherited from your earthly parents.

Be faithful and appreciative of your heritage, by seeking out and doing the genealogical work that is so important to you as an heir in righteousness and being of the seed of Abraham of old. Those promises made and those of the covenant will be fulfilled in you and through you and it will be a marvelous blessing unto you and to your eternal family.

I bless you that you will have the power given unto you to rise with the just in the morning of the first Resurrection. You will stand with your eternal companion and your endless posterity in the presence of a loving Heavenly Father to rejoice in all that has been given to you. I seal these blessing upon your head and do so in the name of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
