Brother *****, having authority, I lay my hands upon your head to bestow a Patriarchal Blessing. This blessing will be with you throughout your life to search that you may know the will of your Father in heaven concerning certain matters relating to your life and the role the you are to play among the children of men. You will discover herein words that inspire and words that caution that you may pursue the path of life and avoid pitfalls.

Give heed unto the words of Christ as contained in the scriptures as well as in this blessing and you will be brought forth in the resurrection of the just, clothed with glory and immortality and eternal life. Your Father in heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, are pleased with the life you have lived and the desires of your heart.

God is mindful of the ongoings that exist and the troublesome things that, from time to time, confront you as they confront all mankind. He will bless you continually with the power of discernment that you may see clearly the path you are to follow.

I bless you with the gift of courage, for there will be times that you will need to step forward into the unknown. Therefore, I also bless you with the gift of faith, faith in the power of the priesthood and faith in the path you are following.

I bless you with a clear and active mind, a mind that will expand and grow and have the capacity to remember, for you are to treasure up the words of Christ as uttered by the ancient and modern prophets found in the scriptures and as revealed in these, the latter days, by the living prophets as they address the people of the world during conference.

You will have listening ears, and as you hear, you will respond, As the Spirit prompts, you are to respond in the selfsame day.

You have been blessed with the gift of humility and as you remain prayerful, you will continue to be so blessed. This is very important, for it is humility that invites the Spirit and it is the Spirit which will sanctify you and bring you forth in the resurrection of the just.

You have bee born in a household of faith, of goodly parents. Being a child of God and a son of Father Abraham through the loins of Ephraim, you have been called forth in these, the latter days, to be a missionary and to lift up your head and be of good cheer and speak with the sound of rejoicing, bearing testimony that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten of the Father in the flesh. You will recognize and know that His way is the path that leads to happiness in the life and eternal life in the world to come. Having this knowledge and this testimony, you will reach out to the wayward and the skeptical and the indifferent and invite them to come unto Christ and live lives that are rewarding and meaningful unto themselves. Thus, you will encourage them to read and ponder the scriptures that they may be so inspired that they may become a blessing to their family as you will be a blessing to yours.

You will magnify your priesthood and as a result thereof, you will be magnified in the eyes of your companion and your children.

You are to teach and instruct throughout your life. Therefore, I bless you with the gift of knowledge and the gift of wisdom. Search out the promised blessings and then lay claim to those blessings by paying your tithes and offerings, by keeping the Sabbath Day holy, by applying the principles of the Word of Wisdom, by gathering together for scripture reading and prayer and Family Home Evening. The window of heaven will then open and you will be blessed with sufficient for your needs and enough and to spare that you may reach out to the poor and the sick and the afflicted.

You will be blessed with power in the priesthood, the power and authority to lay your hands upon the sick and afflicted. They will be comforted and healed and blessed because of your role in their lives.

Search for a companion, someone who honors and loves and respects her parents. She will complement your life and you will complement hers. You will have your differences which will require patient and understanding, but you will become tougher what you would not have on your own. You are to be kind and gentle to one another and to strengthen one another with your prayers, your conversation, your exhortations and your doings. In like manner, you are to reach out continually and strive to make other lives better and happier. In the very process of aiding others, you will be elevated and you will acquire the attributes of godliness.

The key to happiness in your life will be service and sacrifice. Therefore, I bless you with the desire to have helping hands and an encouraging voice throughout your life.

This blessing I leave with you, reminding you of the worth of souls, reminding you of the divine nature of the children of men. You will recognize that you have ties that bind you together being the offspring of God and being descendants of Father Adam and Mother Eve.
