You have accepted opportunities for spiritual growth by your baptismal covenant, to always remember the Lord and keep his commandments, and by bearing his Priesthood and acting in his name. You will receive your greatest blessings as you honor and fulfill the obligations of these sacred covenants. You have prayerfully prepared yourself to receive your Patriarchal Blessing that you might know of that which you were sent to accomplish. Remember that it is through your faithfulness and by the will of the Lord that the promises of this blessing will be fulfilled. You will receive your blessings through the House of Manasseh.

Continue to prepare yourself for the many roles you will have during your life. I bless you with determination to follow the teachings you have been given when making choices and in selecting friends. I bless you that you will not be swayed by promises of immediate rewards brought about by easy choices on easy paths. I bless you to recognize the the ultimate destination to which your choices will lead and I bless you with strength and courage to go forth on the more strenuous path, the path that brings blessings of accomplishment and blessings of joy and happiness to your and to those you love. As you remember the promises you have made, as you adhere to the standards you have been taught, and as you are willing to make a commitment, you will receive firm knowledge of the path you should follow.

Your spiritual growth will determine what you achieve in all walks of your life. I bless you with the will and desire to grow through prayer, through reading and understanding of Gospel teachings and through giving of yourself in service in your family, in your Church, and to those in need. As you do so, I promise you will be successful in your education, in your occupation, and in your family roles. You will be a disciple of the Lord and will gain a firm testimony of the truth of the Gospel. You will have the opportunity to be a messenger of this truth and testify of your beliefs to those who await your words. I bless you with confidence in yourself and in your ability to teach, and I bless you with discernment of the spirit in those you meet that you might be guided in thought and deed as you reach out to them in faith.

You will be an example to others in your family, as a son, brother, husband and father. I bless you with patience in your family relations and with understanding and compassion in their trials and transgressions. Always conduct yourself that you will be worthy of their love and trust. I bless you that through your father's blessings you will lead your family in righteousness and guide them through times of adversity. I bless you that your home will be a place of joy, reverence, and a refuge from the pride and temptation of the world. You will have many rich experiences with your family that will remain precious to them in memory.

Be humble in your authority as a Priesthood leader. You will have the opportunity to lead the saints in spiritual growth and to perform Priesthood ordinances of comfort, healing, and sealing. I bless you, in you Priesthood duties, with the gift of listening that you might understand the unspoken message of the spirit of those whom you serve, and I bless you to hear the prompting of the voice within that you may know of, and fulfill, that which the Lord would have you do. I bless you with discipline and judgement in your Priesthood decisions.

By your faithfulness in setting aside your personal desires that others may be served, by the love you have for your family, by your willingness to declare the truth to the world, and by the the respect you have for the Priesthood you honor, you will acquit yourself well in your stay on earth. The Lord will be pleased with you, and Heavenly Father will grant his approval that you will be raised up and judged worthy of inheriting your rightful place in the Kingdom of God, there to dwell with your family in eternal life. I pronounce this blessing upon you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
