***** - through the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood I hold and by the authority vested in me, I lay my hands upon your head and bring to you your Patriarchal blessing. You are of a noble birthright. Eternal life in the kingdom of our Father is your goal. Such a goal is achieved as the result of a lifetime of righteousness, of wise choices and constancy of purpose. You are a son of a living God in whose image you have been created. I bless you that you will always hold to this conviction, that you will have the strength to live the commandments of God and the power to resist and overcome any temptations or feelings of self doubt which are the tools of the destroyer. You have been privileged to come to earth at this time. An age when God has spoken to us through his Prophet Joseph. A period when His Beloved Son even Jesus Christ has appeared. A season when the Holy Priesthood has been restored to man. An era when we have the Book of Mormon - another testament of Christ - the Son of God, whose power and authority reaches beyond the veil of death. A time when the Gospel of Jesus Christ is going out to every nation kindred and tongue. A season when Temples of our Lord cover the earth. Temples, wherein - if you are worthy and are true and faithful to your covenants you may glimpse the glories of the eternities.

You are of the household of Ephraim the son of Joseph through whom you are entitled to all the blessings and promises given by the Father to Abraham and passed on to Isaac and Jacob. Through the lineage of Ephraim yours is a special calling to first hear and accept the Gospel and then to be actively engaged in the gathering of the elect of Israel home. Listen carefully to the counsel of your leaders and teachers, that you may grow in wisdom and stature. Be prepared to be instructed always, that you come know more perfectly the doctrines principles and lens of the Gospel, and all things that pertain to the Kingdom of God. In doing so you will be well prepared to serve a mission that will bring honour and blessings untold to you and your family.

Be diligent in teaching the doctrine of the Kingdom God and that his grace will attend you always and many will come to love you. I bless you that your faith will not fail you, that you will strengthen those around you, especially your family. Develop compassion for those who are weak and infirm. I bless you that you will have the courage to stand in defense of truth and virtue at all times.

Live your life that the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion. For he will instill in you a sense of virtue, kindness, goodness, tenderness, gentleness and charity. He will help you make celestial choices, he will tend to your health and well being. He will arouse your sense of inquiry. He will nourish and strengthen you physically, spiritually and intellectually. Listen carefully to his promptings for he will had you gently to life eternal and everlasting joy.

Constantly study the Scriptures so that you will better discern between truth and error. Continually build upon the Rock of our Salvation - the Saviour Jesus Christ. Through Him, you can stand firm and weather the storms that may come your way. Through Him, you can overcome problems that may cloud your mind and burden your heart.

Develop the capacity to face trouble and adversity with courage and temerity, disappointment with calmness and composure, and your triumphs with humility and restraint.

You have been blessed with the power to think, reason and make decisions. With such power given to you, I bless you with mastery of self that you may have an abundant life full of joy.

Pray always in the performance of your priesthood responsibilities. Your objective is the celestial kingdom of our Heavenly Father. You have a sacred duty to follow the well-marked pathway that leads to life eternal.

Cultivate within you a spirit of optimism. Walk with faith with an eye single to the glory of God. Continually look for and rejoice in the beauties that surround you, in the goodness and kindliness of those whom you love and who love you, in the testimony that you carry in your heart concerning truth.

Nurture a spirit of thanksgiving for the blessings of life end for the wonderful gifts and privileges that you enjoy each and every day. Continually offer your thanks and gratitude to him who is the giver of life and the very breath you take. He will hear you, he will listen to you, and answer you. Go to Him in prayer often – in your times of need, in your times of despair, in your times of happiness and in your times of gratitude.

When the time comes prayerfully seek and find a worthy companion who you will take to the Temple of our Lord where you can be sealed together for time and for all eternity and that your children will be born under the covenant. Strive to live worthy to hold a temple recommend always and to regard it as a most precious gift. Go to the house of the Lord often and partake freely of the spirit and the blessings to be had therein.

I bless you that you will come forth in the morning of the first resurrection clothed in glory to be surrounded and embraced by your loved ones, those who have gone before you. That you will stand before the Lord and receive His welcome: Well done, thou good and faithful servant.

The fulfilment of these blessings and promises are conditional upon your faithfulness and upon the will of the Lord.

May God bless you with the faith end courage that you will be steadfast in the performance of your duties and go forward with a quiet determination to keep His commandments and your covenants. I bless you to be the very best you can that you may qualify for happiness and life eternal.
