Sister Sarah Swift, I place my hands upon thy head by virtue of my office, and bless thee with a father's blessing, which is also patriarchal, and say unto thee be of good faith and of good cheer, and look always upon the bright side for the Lord has heard thy petitions. He has witnessed thy trials, accepted thine offerings and thou shalt in no wise lose thy reward. Notwithstanding you were born in a foreign land thou art numbered among the daughters of Zion, of whom much is expected, and through obedience thy name is written in the Lamb's book of life, and shall live in the memory of the Saints. Thou art of Ephraim and entitled to the blessings, gifts and privileges of the New and Everlasting Covenant, and inasmuch as thou wilt be obedient to the whisperings of the Spirit, the blessings of the Lord shall attend thee and give thee peace. The vision of thine understanding shall be opened, and thou shalt comprehend not only thy duty but the blessings promised unto the faithful, and thou shalt have wisdom given thee, that thou shalt counsel in righteousness among thy sex that those of riper years shall honor thy judgment, and the younger shall rejoice in thy teachings. Therefore, I say unto thee look forward to the future with pleasure for better days await thee. Thou shall not lack for the comforts of life, and no one shall be turned from thy door hungry. And for thy kindness, many shall bless thee in thine old age and thy fame for good shall go forth for good among the people.

This blessing I seal upon thee in the name of Jesus Christ and I seal thee up unto Eternal Life to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection with many of thy kindred and friends.
