Dear Brother: By the authority of the priesthood, I lay my hands upon your head and give you a patriarchal blessing. You are of the seed of Ephraim, an heir to the priesthood and the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

And inasmuch as you desire it with full purpose of heart, you shall be able to do good and accomplish a great work for the redemption of souls.

Study good books and pray to the Lord in secret to keep you from evil and help you to overcome temptation. Be obedient to your parents and to your teachers, be temperate, keep the Word of Wisdom and in due time you shall be called to the priesthood and labor in the Church. Be obedient to your Bishop and you shall be called to responsible positions.

Ask the Lord for wisdom and he shall answer your prayers and you shall have health and strength and be preserved from evil. You shall be called to foreign lands and cross the waters in safety and lift up your voice in proclaiming the Gospel of Peace and bring some to a knowledge of the truth and your reward shall be joy and peace.

You shall have the necessaries of life to sustain yourself and family. Your home shall be in Zion. Your children shall grow up under the influence of the institutions of Zion and follow in your footsteps and in them you shall have joy and stand at their head in the patriarchal order and with your posterity you shall receive an inheritance on the earth when it is sanctified which shall be eternal.

Be humble and strive for these blessings and you shall receive them. I seal these blessings on you in weakness and humility by virtue of my calling, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
