Sister *****, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ and by the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, which I hold as patriarch, I lay my hands upon your head this day, this beautiful rainy day, to pronounce a patriarchal blessing. *****, this blessing from your Father in Heaven will confirm to you the love that He has for you and that you have indeed accepted a plan to be a servant unto the Lord God and to be here upon this earth doing what your Father in Heaven would have you do to return His children into His presence. *****, before this world began, you accepted this assignment, and you clung to the atonement of Jesus Christ. You knew you had a Savior, and you prepared yourself to come to this world.

I bless you with the gift of testimony that Jesus is the Christ. This gift is to be used within your family as you work and serve and study, as you grow, and as you interact with others. I encourage you and admonish you to loosen your tongue in family settings, at work, and in Church. Bear a testimony that Jesus is the Christ and build and strengthen this gift that is in you. I bless you that, as you bear testimony of Christ, your testimony will grow, the love of the Savior will grow, and other gifts of the spirit will be manifest in your life. I admonish you to bear testimony of the Savior when you are in the process of courting and dating. This will be a means of discerning and drawing close to his spirit.

You are of the tribe of Ephraim. You accepted the responsibility to gather others before you came here as a hen gathers chicks. With the gifts Father has given you and the talents you have developed you are to share and to teach and to draw others unto Christ. The tribe of Ephraim has the responsibility of gathering in this last day. You will do that for family, and you will do that through your example, and you will do that by teaching. I bless you with the gift of wisdom and knowledge that you will be able to learn and teach and that you will be able, also, to discern the needs of students. You will have wisdom poured out upon you about how to interact with, teach, and care for others.

You will have the opportunity to develop talents that you have identified. You will also have the opportunity in this lifetime to study and learn and develop skills and talents regarding caring for others. I bless you with the gift of caring for sisters, especially young sisters in the Church, and I bless you with the gift of being able to discern their needs. I bless you with the wisdom to be able to understand how to touch their hearts and teach them. You will have the gift, if you pursue this, of being able to, through exercise and dance, bring others into greater fellowship in the Church, especially young women. More so, you will have the opportunity to serve the Lord in leadership capacities within the Young Women's organization. I bless you and call into your remembrance that, when you serve under the leadership of a bishop, you will have the power of the priesthood, and you will be able to act upon that power. I admonish you to pray and ponder and think about how to help others, and I promise you that Father in Heaven through the Holy Spirit will pour out inspiration and revelation upon you as you ponder on these things.

I bless you that, as you are away from home and you attend school, you will be blessed with safety and protection. If you will ask for additional blessings within your family, specifically regarding angels, I bless you that, through this patriarchal blessing and through blessings from the priesthood in your family, angels will be your companions, you will be protected from evil, and you will be able to discern right and wrong, and you will be able to discern the intent of the hearts of others. This will come about as you are prayerful and as you ask for blessings and as you pray and ask for inspiration. You will be protected, and angels will walk beside you.

I bless you that you will be a mother in Zion and that you will have children if you will pursue this, and I bless you that, if you will do this and keep the Word of Wisdom, and, if you will keep your covenants, this family will be strong. Children will have strength, and, more than strength in body, they will have strength in their minds, and they will be able to see clearly. They will be able to discern right from wrong in their childhood, and this will come about as you teach and talk and train your children. Specifically teach them consequences and blessings. As you do this, your family will grow, your husband will be strengthened, and you will be a source of joy in your family. If you will keep your covenants and train your family up, your home will be a beacon, a light upon a hill, and there will be young women that come to your home seeking protection physically and spiritually, and you will have the obligation and the opportunity and the great blessing of being a savior on Mount Zion.

*****, I bless you that you will be able to grow in love and affection for the people that come into your life that you desire to serve. If you pray and keep the covenants that you enter into in the temple, Heavenly Father will use you throughout your life and will, in fact, wear you out serving others. This, Sister *****, is what you saw before the world began. This is what you agreed to do before this world began. I bless you that, if you will continue to do this, caring for the needy, caring for the single sisters, teaching your family, all the days of your life, you will have joy. Tears of joy will indeed flow from you as you serve in the temple in your old age and as you see grandchildren serving in the temples of the Lord, and this will come about as you keep your covenants, as you serve with your husband, and as you give glory and honor to your Father in Heaven.

I admonish you, in all your activities, to serve, and to not think of great financial gains. But think about how to share what you have with others. As you do this, your Father in Heaven will indeed cause great humbleness to come upon you which will lead to great love and care for others, and there will come a day when the whispering of the spirit will be to you that you are indeed living the law of consecration. You will indeed feel by the spirit that your calling and election are made sure. This blessing I seal upon you, and this will come about as you give up your life for others. You will know your end before your days come to a close if you will do this, and you will indeed see, in your heart and your mind, the Savior reaching out and bringing you safely home. This blessing I seal upon you in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
