Sister *****, In the name of Jesus Christ, in the authority of the Holy priesthood, I seal upon you today a patriarchal blessing - a blessing from our Heavenly Father that is meant to help you as you live your life here upon earth.
Sister *****, In God's greater family you are of the seed of Abraham, of the house of Israel, of the tribe of Joseph and Ephraim. You were assigned to come forth in these latter days to earth because of your obedience and faithfulness in the preexistence. You have been blessed here upon earth to have found the restored Church of Jesus Christ, and if you are faithful and obedient, and remain active in the Church, your life will be greatly blessed. Your life will be preserved so that you will be able to accomplish the mission here upon earth that was assigned to you before you left your heavenly home.
Sister *****, our Heavenly Father knows of you, of your needs, of your righteous desires, and I bless you this day that those righteous desires of your heart will come to pass if you remain faithful and true. Sister *****, our Heavenly Father would have you know the importance of keeping your life clean, of preparing yourself spiritually so that in the years ahead you can be a teacher, a leader in the church, and can be a missionary to others.
You have been given gifts of beauty, of a strong body and a find mind, of an understanding heart. And one of your missions in life is to help care for others, those in need, those in your own greater family. You are to learn to be a healer of body and spirit, to be able to help others in their illnesses and in times of need and oppression. You are to become a nurse to the world, to the people of the Church, to the people that you know. You will have an opportunity to touch the hearts and lift the lives of many about you. You will be blessed that you will see many come into the Church through the waters of baptism because of your example and because of your teachings and your testimony.
Sister *****, do not try to force your feelings, your beliefs upon others, but always stand ready if asked, to tell them of the things that make your life happy and worthwhile, and of the great blessings that we expect to have in the life to come if we remain obedient in this one.
Sister *****, never think poorly of yourself. Remember that you are a chosen daughter of God. You have divine attributes in you. You have been given great gifts to use for good - your good and the good of others. Furthermore, Sister *****, you have been given the opportunity to help share the gospel with others, not just by word and spirit, but also by example. Sister *****, if you live a clean wholesome, good life, your friends and peers and members of your family will be attracted to you and you will see some of them come into the Church.
Also, Sister *****, in the years ahead you are to learn how to do genealogical research so that you will be able to do the sacred Temple ordinances for your parents and for the other members of your greater family who are waiting in the hereafter for someone on earth who has faith and the obedience to do the work for them in the Temple that they were not able to do for themselves because they died before the Church was restored to the earth.
Sister *****, choose your friend carefully. Anyone who asks you to break either the laws of the land or the laws of God is not a true friend and a fit companion for you. Keep your life clean. Study the scriptures. Prepare yourself so that our Heavenly Father can use you as an instrument in his hands for accomplishing a great good. You will feel the promptings of the Spirit in your life. Whenever you have to make an important decision, pray for guidance and then listen to the prompting of the Holy Ghost. You will hear that still, small voice as thunder in your ears so that you will know what is to be done.
Sister *****, I bless you with strength of body, mind and spirit, and seal you up this day to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection, the time set aside for those who are faithful and true and who endure to the end in righteousness. Sister Scott, go forth with faith. You have a happy nature. Be of good cheer all of your life. You will be blessed by God here and hereafter if you only remain obedient to the commandments of God. I so promise as I seal this sacred blessing upon you this day, in Jesus' name, Amen.
