Sister *****: By virtue and authority of the office of Patriarch, I lay my hands upon thy head and give unto thee thy Patriarchal Blessing to be a benefit, a guide, and comfort unto thee throughout thy life in accordance with thy faithfulness. Thou art heir to thine inheritance blessings through the lineage of Ephraim, who was the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt by his brethren. They are choice blessings which come unto thee through thy lineage and shall continually be increased unto thee through thy faithfulness. The Lord is mindful of thee that thou wast born in this, a choice generation, under special circumstances, and for a wise purpose. Thou wast born of goodly parents, and as thou shalt continue to heed and follow their teachings, counsel, and advice in righteousness, thou shalt avoid many of the pitfalls and dangers in life. The Lord shall add blessings unto thee because of thine obedience. Thou shalt be given special experiences for thy good and for thy training to assist thee in fulfilling thy mission upon the earth. Thou shalt be given success in thine efforts in seeking knowledge and understanding, and as thou shalt seek education, and study from good books, and learn to enjoy good books, the Lord shall give unto thee success therein. It will be thy privilege to receive a good education which shall be a blessing and benefit unto thee and to which thou shalt have the privilege of imparting unto others the knowledge of the gospel given unto thee, and endeavor to be of service and use thy time, thy talents, and thy means generously in building up the kingdom of the Lord upon the earth, the Lord shall bless thee richly, and his providing care shall be over thee that thou and thy household shall not be in need for the necessities of life. Thou shalt have means to accomplish the duties and responsibilities required of thee at all times.

Thou hast been blessed with those gifts and talents of patience and cheerfulness. As thou shalt continue to cultivate those gifts and talents, thou shalt not lack for friends and associates, and they shall be a blessing unto thee, and thou shalt be a blessing unto them. And inasmuch as thou shalt always select for thy close associates those who are righteous and who have a desire to keep the commandments of the Lord, they shall be a special blessing unto thee and shall assist in opening the way before thee to enable thee to receive eternal blessings. And inasmuch as thou shalt continue to seek the guidance of the Lord in prayer, in faith, and in humility, in all things, and continue to cultivate those gifts of patience and cheerfulness, there shall be peace and happiness in thy household, and thy household shall be an example for good unto others, which shall give others courage and strength to overcome their difficulties and trials, and they shall bless thee for the influence and power for good thou shalt be unto them. In thine efforts in teaching the gospel unto others, especially among those of thy sex and among the younger generation of thy sex, many shall bless thee for thine efforts in their behalf and for thy teachings, and thou shalt have much success therein. Continue to live in accordance with the laws of the gospel, especially the Word of Wisdom and the law of health; and in keeping the commandments of the Lord to the best of thine ability, many blessings shall be added unto thee.

Thou shalt be warned in advance of difficulties, trials, dangers, and temptations. Many physical dangers and difficulties shall pass by thee giving unto thee blessings in disguise. Inasmuch as thou shalt search the scriptures and seek knowledge, an understanding and knowledge of the principles of the gospel and the plan of life and salvation shall continually be increased unto thee. Thou shalt have the privilege of receiving of the blessings of the house of the Lord. And as thou shalt seek those blessings and prove thy worthiness, it shall be thy privilege to experience and enjoy the blessings of motherhood. Be diligent in teaching unto thy posterity the principles of the gospel and the plan of life and salvation, and they shall bless thee for the inheritance which shall come unto them as a result of thy faithfulness and thy teaching. Thou shalt be as a savior upon Mount Zion. Many shall bless thee for thine efforts in their behalf. Records of many shall be made available unto thee of thy kindred and thine ancestors. Thou shalt be given assistance in thine efforts in gathering together those records. Thou shalt have need to rejoice in thy heart in gratitude for the many blessings of the Lord unto thee. These blessings with those which the Lord shall add, even blessings in disguise, I seal upon thy head and seal thee up to come forth in the first resurrection in accordance with thy faithfulness, and by virtue of the priesthood I hold, and in the name of Jesus Christ.
