Sweet young sister *****, it is with humility and deep pleasure that we invite you into this special room today bringing a special spirit with you to a room which has been dedicated for the receiving of special blessings upon young people such as yourself, those who have prepared themselves well to receive counsel and direction from heavenly father. So we welcome you here today and are grateful for the fine spirit you bring. As patriarch of this _____ stake of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by and through the authority and power of the holy Melchizedek priesthood I do now place my hands upon your head and confer upon you your personal and special patriarchal blessing. Now sweet sister, blessings of this sort are recommended for the youth to fulfill commitments in their lives; who want direction and counsel from heavenly father and have proved themselves worthy. you were valiant in the pre-mortal world insomuch that heavenly father held you back to come to the earth in these the latter days prior to the second advent of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. You recognized that you must receive a mortal body to fulfill your commitments to heavenly father. You knew you must come to the earth even though you knew there would be Satan and his angels trying to draw you away from the gospel principles, trials and mistrusts would be thrust upon you. But in your young age, sweet sister, you have had the faith unto repentance and you have repented unto baptism where you have done your best to shed your sins and you have received the companionship of the holy ghost. Now that companionship will dwell with you as long as you are living the commandments, following your lord and savior's lead, you will be guided back to heavenly father's presence. Never forget the wonderful service your elder brother has done for you by taking upon himself your sins and transgressions. So honor him each day.

You have a sweet spirit and countenance that will draw many young women to you for counsel. You have been born in the covenant to kindly, worthy parents, you are of noble birth since you stem from father Abraham, that great prophet in the old testament who was promised that the entire earth would be blessed to his seed and the Abrahamic covenant was formed which would shower the earth with the blessings of the lord. You are heir to all of the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You are of the tribe of Joseph, through the loins of Ephraim, a fine young son of Joseph who received the birthright blessing. You are also heir to the holy spirit of promise and the new and everlasting covenant along with the blessing of the priesthood and the holy temple. What wonderful things you are now aware of that you have in your life, being in mortality. But these many blessings bring responsibility. You will recall looking around you millions of souls who are also of Abraham's seed who are struggling in the world, wandering without direction or counsel trying to find their way in life. One of your responsibilities will be to open your mouth and teach and preach the gospel principles of Jesus Christ. Use your sweet personality and character to draw them close to you for you will be blessed as many turn from their ways and join the Church. So 'Look to the lord and live', 'Stand before the sunlight of truth that the shadow of discontent will be cast behind you.' I promise you, young lady, that if you will live the commandments of the lord, study the scriptures and apply them to yourself, listen to the counsel of your constituted leaders and your parents that your life will run much more smoothly with wisdom and skill. You will be able to bear your trials with greater courage, you will have the holy ghost by your side. You will be an instrument in the hands of the lord in helping to draw young people closer to the gospel principles and you will be able to enjoy yourself more in this life.

You have been a sweet young woman in your primary and young women classes and instruction, you have listened and heard, your spirit has grown, your testimony has grown and you are now waiting to become a young woman and you are on your way. I bless you in your schoolwork that you will be successful, that your grades will show that you have called upon the lord for help. You will look forward to a career in the future that will be pleasant for you and you will achieve that through counsel from your leaders, from your instructors and from your parents.

It is important that you realize that your purpose on earth is to receive counsel from on high, to receive through prayer personal revelation, to receive personal revelation and counsel through prayer, those subtle, quiet moments on you knees will come to you in a whisper but you must acknowledge them quickly and readily or they will dissipate.

I promise you, young lady, as you grow and mature that you will be found worthy to attend the holy temple, that holy place where a holy endowment of promise and teaching will be given to you as a gift, if you are worthy and follow the commandments of the lord.

You will prepare yourself for a young man who will come into your life who will love you dearly. He will take you by the hand over the altar in the temple, as he is worthy you will become his 'queen' and he your 'king' and you will have established an eternal family. You will be a mother in Zion, you will have wonderful, precocious children that you will be able to raise from infancy to adulthood in a fine, pleasant mannerism in which you have been raised.

You will be a joy to those around you. You will be a teacher, a counselor, a person where people will see you as on a hill with a 'light' similar to the light of Christ and they will want to come and be near you and learn, to feel of your spirit for you will be a spiritual person because you have learned prayer and you have learned how to be living in such a way that you will have the holy ghost by your side.

So I bless you with increased faith that you look to the heavens for guidance, search the scriptures and prove yourself through diligence and service.

Remember that you are unique, you are the only one of you on the earth and heavenly father knows that and he is by your side and will counsel you throughout your days. You have a purpose, you will find out that purpose through this blessing and throughout your life as you draw closer to heavenly father.

You have your agency, I promise you that you will use it well and you will never be alone for heavenly father loves you and will always be by your side. I bless you with wisdom, wisdom of the lord, not of yourself, that you will be wise and understanding of the principles of the people around you, that you will understand their problems. I bless you with vision, that you will be able to see farther, as you awake tomorrow, you see things more clearly, you will be able to see farther, and be able to focus on your life entirely. You will be able to go forward with the help of the lord and accomplish all that you need to in this life. You are a wonderful girl, the lord loves you as your parents do.

I bless you with success in all of your endeavors, in the gospel, in your school life, in your professional life. I bless you with a sweet spirit that you will be smiling and have a happy countenance as young people come and want to be close because of your smile and you can have fun with them.

I pray that you will take your blessing out often, consider it as pages from your book of life's possibilities because through faith and prayer they can become possible. I bless you with health and strength throughout your years that you will be successful in maintaining it. The holy ghost will warn you of danger. Stay close to him. All of these things are yours, sweet sister, if you will stay true and faithful.

I bless you that you will come forward in the morning of the first resurrection, clothed with honor, immortality, and eternal life. Your name is in the lamb's book of life. You will be in the rest of the lord. You will awaken from that long slumber to greet your wonderful husband, beautiful children and family and be enthralled in the arms of the lord forever.
