Sister Susan. In the name of Jesus Christ I place my hands upon thy head to bless thee in the stead of thy father, with a patriarchal blessing. Thou art truly blest, inasmuch as thou hast embraced the gospel in thy youth. Thou art entitled to the blessings of Abraham; and of Isaac and of Jacob, and inasmuch as thou art faithful, my sister, thou art entitled to the blessings of the heavens above and of the Earth beneath, the blessings of the new and everlasting covenant, and inasmuch as you have embraced the principles that lead unto life and exaltation, thou shalt be comforted my sister under all circumstances and troubles wherein you may have to pass. Thy life shall be with pleasantness and with much joy and satisfaction to thyself and to those of thine associates in thy family circle, and thou shalt truly be blessed with long life and partake of the holy priesthood in connection with thy husband, which will be thy staff and thy strength, even to the putting aside or the frustrating of all the works of darkness, for thy lineage is that of Joseph, and thy priesthood is like unto his, which is after the order of Melchizedek.

Blessed shalt thou be, my sister, in all thine associating with the saints, for the way of the Lord shall not be hid from thee; and inasmuch as thou wilt reflect with soberness and be faithful to thy husband in all things, the candle of the Lord shall not be hid from thee, day or night, and thy heart's desire shall be accomplished in all things in righteousness, and thine offspring shall be mighty and many in number, and as for principle and the priesthood, none shall be greater in Israel. Thou shalt see Zion redeemed, and the holy city sanctified before the Lord, and in the ordinances of the house of the Lord thou shalt officiate for thy dead, even from generation to generation back to that of Abel. Thy life shall be preserved, though many shall seek to interrupt and vex and perplex thee, notwithstanding the angels of the Lord have charge concerning thee, and thou shalt conqueror over all thine enemies. Thou shalt have the gift of healing, and administer to the afflicted of thy family, in the absence of thy husband, and they shall be healed. Indeed thou art blessed, my sister, because of the honesty and integrity of the heart to do good, and thy life shall pass with much pleasantness to thyself, have part in the first resurrection, exaltation and eternal lives. In the name of Jesus Christ I seal thee up to come forth in the first resurrection, even so, amen.

Brother John: I place my hands upon thy head and I bless thee in the New and Everlasting Covenant. Inasmuch as thou wilt be faithful unto God and wilt be faithful to thy parents thou wilt be a partaker of all the blessings that was promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Inasmuch as thou wilt keep the commandments of the Lord from thy youth, thou shalt grow up to be a mighty man of strength both temporally and spiritually. Thou shalt yet have the Holy Priesthood put upon thee, which will be a shield to protect you from the enemies of righteousness. If thou wilt be faithful thou shalt live long on the earth; see all thine enemies fall to the earth because they shall fight against Zion, against the servants of the Lord, notwithstanding thou shalt come in great contact, thou need not fear for the Lord shall preserve thee and thy life shall be had in remembrance before him. Thou shalt be a blessing to thine associates because of thy willingness to keep the commandments of the Lord and thy faithfulness to thy parents. Thy lineage is that of Joseph and thou shalt have temptation like unto him, nevertheless thou shalt have power and principle to escape them all. Thou shalt go to declare the glad tidings of the Gospel of Peace, whethersoever thou art sent, and thou shalt be preserved, both by land and sea, and make known the light and principles of the glorious Gospel, so that thy hearers shalt be astonished at the principles of truth made known. Thou shalt be very instrumental in turning from unrighteousness to the principles of the Gospel.

Thou shalt possess houses and herds, wives and children, lands and flocks, and the labor of thine hands shalt be blessed abundantly because of the integrity of thine heart to do good and to build up the Kingdom of God, and in the restoration of the dead, thou shalt restore through the keys of the everlasting Priesthood even from generation to generation. All these blessings are for thee, my brother. Run the race with patience and thou shalt see and realize the hand of the Lord with thee, and those that accompany thee shall be preserved because of thee, for the Lord will hear thy prayers in their behalf and by the authority of the Holy Priesthood I seal thee up unto exaltation and eternal life, to come forth in the first resurrection. Even so. Amen.
