Brother John: I place my hands upon thy head and I bless thee in the New and Everlasting Covenant. Inasmuch as thou wilt be faithful unto God and wilt be faithful to thy parents thou wilt be a partaker of all the blessings that was promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Inasmuch as thou wilt keep the commandments of the Lord from thy youth, thou shalt grow up to be a mighty man of strength both temporally and spiritually. Thou shalt yet have the Holy Priesthood put upon thee, which will be a shield to protect you from the enemies of righteousness. If thou wilt be faithful thou shalt live long on the earth; see all thine enemies fall to the earth because they shall fight against Zion, against the servants of the Lord, notwithstanding thou shalt come in great contact, thou need not fear for the Lord shall preserve thee and thy life shall be had in remembrance before him. Thou shalt be a blessing to thine associates because of thy willingness to keep the commandments of the Lord and thy faithfulness to thy parents. Thy lineage is that of Joseph and thou shalt have temptation like unto him, nevertheless thou shalt have power and principle to escape them all. Thou shalt go to declare the glad tidings of the Gospel of Peace, whethersoever thou art sent, and thou shalt be preserved, both by land and sea, and make known the light and principles of the glorious Gospel, so that thy hearers shalt be astonished at the principles of truth made known. Thou shalt be very instrumental in turning from unrighteousness to the principles of the Gospel.

Thou shalt possess houses and herds, wives and children, lands and flocks, and the labor of thine hands shalt be blessed abundantly because of the integrity of thine heart to do good and to build up the Kingdom of God, and in the restoration of the dead, thou shalt restore through the keys of the everlasting Priesthood even from generation to generation. All these blessings are for thee, my brother. Run the race with patience and thou shalt see and realize the hand of the Lord with thee, and those that accompany thee shall be preserved because of thee, for the Lord will hear thy prayers in their behalf and by the authority of the Holy Priesthood I seal thee up unto exaltation and eternal life, to come forth in the first resurrection. Even so. Amen.
