Sister *****, by the power of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ and by virtue of the ordination to that of Patriarch in the _____ Stake, I place my hands upon your head and give you, *****, your patriarchal blessing - a blessing that will inspire and instruct you throughout all of your life, a blessing of comfort, of direction, of help, of understanding, a blessing of duty to you and for you in your life, if you remain true and faithful to the covenants you have made and to the commandments of the Lord, Jesus Christ. And I encourage you to do so. *****, you have been born into a family that loves you, that has taught you, that has taken you to Church, and has helped you in so many ways to come closer to the Lord. That will be a great blessing for you in your life as you remember the importance of fulfilling duties and obligations, callings within the Church of which you will have many, if you are true and faithful. You will receive many of these opportunities as a young sister: to teach, to testify, to help others come to the understanding of the restored gospel as you serve as a missionary.

As you go forward with that faith that you need, with that courage that you need to bear testimony and to witness of the Book of Mormon and to help strengthen those good saints and others who are seeking knowledge and seeking truth, you will be brought to the understanding that you need of what to say and how to help, how to inspire and how to teach. As you do, you will be the instrument in the hands of the Lord in helping many come to the knowledge of the Lord, Jesus Christ, come to the knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel and be inspired and impressed to be a part of it and help their own families as they teach them and as they set those proper examples for them. Now have the faith and the courage that you need to open your mouth boldly and share with them these important truths and be that true and faithful instrument that the Lord would have you be, as you share these important testimonies and truthfulness of the restored gospel. You will be inspired and directed to seek out those who need this great message in their lives.

Now you are of the House of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and your blessings will come to you through the Tribe of Ephraim, that great lineage with so many responsibilities and duties. One of those duties will be to serve valiantly as a missionary all the days of your life. You will have many opportunities to visit with a neighbor, a co-worker, a schoolmate, or a friend and share with them the importance of this great work restored in these latter days. You will have opportunities to bear your testimony often. Another of these great responsibilities associated with this lineage is to serve in leadership responsibilities in the Church, of which you will have many. You will be called upon to help others, to teach others, and to serve in many capacities. As you are faithful in your service, you will touch many hearts and bless many lives, and I urge you to do so.

At some future time in your life, you will meet a young man, and it will be your desire to be sealed together forever in the house of the Lord and take upon yourself those sacred covenants and receive those great blessings that are only associated with those who are faithful and committed to the work of the Lord. As you do and as you begin your wonderful union, there will be children born into your union. They will be special, sweet spirits born to you, and you will have the opportunity and great privilege of teaching them, inspiring them, testifying to them of the importance of the work that you know is true. You will help strengthen their sweet young lives and build their testimonies of this great work restored in these latter days. You will have the opportunities and privileges and blessings that await you as a sweet daughter of our Heavenly Father, as you begin that part of your life.

I encourage you to remember important gospel truths: remember the importance of reading and studying and pondering your scriptures every day, remember the importance of going to your knees in humble prayer, seeking the will of the Lord for you in your life, especially at times of challenge or at times of difficulty when you need that extra help or that extra advice. I encourage you to be faithful and attend your Church meetings every week and your other duties associated with callings. As you do, you will have the spiritual strength to accept and understand the will of the Lord as you valiantly serve. Now be kind; be the example always of kindness and sweetness, and help others to do so as well. Beware of contention in your life - always have a smile and a ready answer for those who need your help and seek your example.

If this be your desire and if it be the will of the Lord, I seal you up to come forth with your family on the morning of the first resurrection, clothed with glory and immortality and prepared to meet the Savior of the World, even Jesus Christ, who will be so proud of you for your committed life and your desires to serve Him and honor His name. If this be your desire, I seal this upon you and all other great blessings that our Father in Heaven has for you and wishes to give you, and do so humbly in the name of our Lord and Savior, even Jesus Christ. Amen.
