Brother *****, by the authority of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I lay my hands upon your head and confer a Patriarchal Blessing which shall be upon your head forever.
*****, you are acceptable before the Lord this day. He loves you for the faith you have shown in the life before, and on earth, and for your obedience and desire to serve Him now. You have the special privilege of living in this last Dispensation that you might be a servant carrying the gospel forth into the world. It is for this purpose that you have been reserved for this period of time and placed in this choice portion of the world to be prepared in your youth to fulfill the mission that has been fore-ordained upon you.
Because of your faithfulness you were chosen to come through the Lineage of the great Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You are of the Lineage of Ephraim through Joseph. You were fore-ordained to hold the Priesthood and along with this special blessing comes the responsibility to assist in taking the gospel to the world. The Lord will bless you as you continue to grow and receive the Priesthood, that you will learn to appreciate the privilege it is having this blessing pronounced upon you. In your experiences in life you will learn to know that it is the power and authority given from God. You will have occasions to witness and perform miracles through that power.
You have been nurtured like a fruitful tree, and in your youth you have matured to an age of accountability before the Lord. You have enjoyed the sweet spirit of the Holy Ghost that has blessed you to know within you that the gospel being taught is true. The Lord has blessed you that this has matured into a testimony and given you a desire to fulfill your obligations to our Heavenly Father. You will be blessed, because of your faithfulness in your youth and the opportunity of coming to a home where you could be taught early in life and prepared as a young man, to give service to the Lord.
I bless you in mind and body and as you go forward in life you will be able to prepare yourself to take your place among the children of men to earn a livelihood that will provide for you and the family that will come. I especially bless your mind that it will be alert and you will have a proper understanding of the principles of the gospel. You will comprehend their true meaning as you study. You will retain the thoughts you learn and they will be treasured in your heart until the day you are required to use them in the defense of truth. You will be blessed in traveling and preaching the gospel for the Lord will call you to go forth into the nations of the world to bear witness and bring blessings into the lives of the people. If you are faithful and keep the Lord's commandments this period of time will be a special experience, for you will witness the power and authority of the Lord through the Priesthood as He directs His missionaries in pronouncing blessings and healing the sick. You will return a stronger young man, prepared to carry the burdens that come as members of the church in our daily life. You will be a servant of the Lord all of your days. I bless you with great faith and nothing will deter you from the paths of righteousness. You will always be recognized as a faithful servant in Israel.
As life goes on you will be blessed in going into the Temple for the privilege of being sealed to a companion of your choice. You will be blessed with sons and daughters and find joy and happiness in raising them. They will feel of your spirit and example, and the experiences of your own youth will help you to lead them in the paths of righteousness. Your home will be one of love and the spirit of the Lord will be there.
Go on your way rejoicing, and do not fear the difficulties that surround you in life, for the lord will lead you in paths of safety. You will feel His hand warning you in times of danger and in guiding you in the decisions that are for your welfare. Counsel with the Lord continually and you will be blessed with the companionship of the Spirit and you will recognize the promptings that come, whether they be ever so slight, or by voice. You will feel the influence of the Lord all of your days and you will be led in the path of righteousness.
You will be called to give many days of service unto the Lord. Give willingly and give of your means freely and the Lord will bless you in the responsibilities that you bear. As you study the gospel you will build a background of faith and knowledge that will assist you in positions of teaching and leadership. You will be recognized by those around you as an honored and respected servant of the Lord. You will be loved by your friends and associates because of your diligence and faithfulness.
Be wise in your youth and keep the commandments of the Lord, and as you go forth to seek a position in life let the Lord guide you. Study carefully and prepare before you go before the Lord to seek the things you would like to accomplish and He will confirm your plans and ambitions. You will be successful in seeking the ways that will be for your welfare and benefit. Give freely of your time and means and the Lord will bless you that you will have the abundance necessary for you and your family. You will feel His hand in protecting your home in the distressing times that you will face.
You live in the latter days, so be mindful of the prophecies of great difficulties that have been foretold, and accept the events that come as the will of the Lord. Go often to the House of the Lord as a source of security and comfort that you might remain steadfast in life without fear and trembling. As a missionary the Lord will open your thoughts and loosen your tongue and you will be able to bear witness to your friends and neighbors and those of the mission areas of the world. There will be many opportunities to fulfill that responsibility for the members of the church will be busy in the last days as they hurriedly prepare for the coming of the Lord.
You will be blessed to serve both the living and the dead. You will find joy and happiness in that service and as you enter the House of the Lord you will feel the spirit building your testimony as you contemplate what is taught to you. You will rejoice over the opportunities the Lord has given you to prepare yourself to come back into His presence and to the eternal life with your companion.
I bless you to stand in faith against all obstacles, and you will need not fear in times of darkness, for the Lord will sustain you because of your faithfulness. I seal these blessings upon you according to your faithfulness and seal you up against the power of the destroyer that you might come forth in the morning of the first resurrection.
