Brother *****, by the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood which I hold as a Patriarch and in the name of Jesus Christ, I lay my hands upon your head and give unto you a Patriarchal Blessing

Brother *****, your Father in Heaven loves you. He knows you by name. He knew you before you were born. You were a chosen spirit in the premortal existence. You have been blessed and reserved to come forth in these the latter days in this the dispensation of the fullness of times. You have been blessed to be born through the lineage of Ephraim, and you are entitled to all the promises and blessings that were given to Father Abraham.

You have been blessed to be born to goodly parents who have taught you the truths of the gospel and who have set a good example for you.

Now, your Father in Heaven's spirit and blessing will be upon you as you journey through your life here in mortality, through the millennium, and through the Celestial Kingdom. For he will watch over you, protect you, and keep you from harm and from evil. He will bless you that you may have health and strength and vitality of body and mind. He will bless you that you will be able to comprehend and understand the truths that he has restored again upon the earth in these the latter days. You will be able to discern truth from error for the Holy Ghost will inspire you and enlighten your mind and your understanding and help you to know those things that are right and those things that are true that you might follow the path of truth and righteousness and not go the ways of the world.

Now, you will be blessed to receive the priesthood. Magnify your callings therein and be diligent and faithful in serving your brothers and sisters and do the will and the work of your Father in Heaven that needs to be done in preparing the world for the coming of the Savior.

Your prayers will be heard and answered. You will find the answers to your problems by reading, studying, and pondering the scriptures. Especially by reading and pondering the pages of the Book of Mormon which testifies of Jesus Christ, will you draw closer to your Father in Heaven and his Only Begotten Son. It will give you a greater desire to serve your Father in Heaven, to love your brothers and sisters, and to be an example to the world.

You will be called forth in the world to proclaim the gospel. You will be diligent and faithful in carrying the truth to many of your brothers and sisters, for many will receive your testimony. You will have joy in serving your Father in Heaven. You will accomplish a great work during this missionary time. You will have the opportunity to exercise your priesthood and leave a blessing of comfort in the homes of many, both members and nonmembers of the church.

Now, your Father in Heaven will help you as you seek for a companion. For he will help you find one that will be true and faithful to you. One that will be worthy to go with you to the House of the Lord where you can be sealed together as husband and wife for time and all eternity. With this union you will be blessed to bring children into the world. You will teach them the truths of the gospel and thus you will have joy in your posterity.

You will honor your wife, the mother of your children. You will have your family devotions. You will teach them to pray and to walk uprightly before their Father in Heaven. You wife will honor and sustain you in all you are called upon to do. For you will be called upon to serve your Father in Heaven in many capacities in the church. You will perform a great work among the saints in preparing them for the coming of the Savior.

No, you will be blessed with things of this life that you stand in need of. The hand of providence will be over you. You will be guided and directed in preparing yourself to provide for your needs. You will be willing to share the blessings your Father in Heaven bestows upon you with others and thus you will be blessed for all the kind and good things that you do.

Now, you will be here with the Savior when he returns and enjoy all the blessings that pertain to the millennial reign. For joy and happiness will be yours during this thousand years. You will have many great and wonderful experiences in furthering the work of your Father in Heaven. You will be crowned in celestial glory to be with your Eternal Father and his son, Jesus Christ, with your family to enjoy all the blessings that pertain to exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom.

Now, walk uprightly and deal justly with all your brothers and sisters. Give of your time, your talents, and your means to helping your Father in Heaven to build up his kingdom. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Remember to honor the priesthood that you hold and to be faithful and diligent in all that you are called upon to do.

I leave these blessings with you that you might have them through your faithfulness. I do it by right of Patriarch and in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
