Sister Elizabeth Croft, in the name of Jesus Christ and by virtue of the patriarchal priesthood, which I hold, I lay my hands upon your head and give you a patriarchal or father's blessing. Thou art beloved of the Lord, and thy heart rejoiced greatly when thou heard the servants of the living God proclaim the true and everlasting gospel. Thou wert preserved to come forth in the day when the gospel in its fullness was proclaimed to the children of men. Thou looked and longed for the time to come when thou would be permitted to dwell in the flesh. The angel given charge concerning thee, has ever been around to preserve thee in the path of duty. Thou art entitled to all the blessings and in the Lord's own time will enter the temple of the Lord and receive washings and anointings. There is a great work before thee, thy ancestors who died without a knowledge of the Gospel are anxiously waiting for thee to do the work for them in the Temple of the Lord. Be thou faithful and give thyself to prayer in secret and in public and thy guardian angel will ever be with thee lest thou at any time dash thyself against a stone and turn to the beggarly elements of the world. Thou art of Ephraim, the son of Joseph, who was carried into Egypt and there became a deliverer unto his father's house. I seal upon your head to come forth in the resurrection of the just with your husband and children crowned with glory and eternal lives. I seal them all upon your head in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
