My dear brother, I feel it a pleasure to place my hands upon your head and give unto you a Patriarchal Blessing, that it may be a comfort to you when you read it and a stimulus to you, to be faithful in all your future life. You are a noble spirited man and your Heavenly Father delighteth in you. For you are precious in His sight and He will make you a shining light and you shall be honored by the righteous and your companion shall love you because of your faithfulness. You are of the seed of Israel and of the lineage of Ephraim and the holy priesthood is yours by right of birth and obedience to the gospel. It is thy privilege as a servant of God to go to the temple and lead forth a companion and be endowed and sealed over the altar for time and eternity. For thou was sent here to raise up a righteous seed, that thy posterity may increase in the earth. For thou art of Ephraim and the blessing of that tribe shall rest upon you, if you will keep the commandments of God and be faithful, thou shalt be blessed in the earth and never lack for food or clothing. Study the Law of the Lord and thou shalt know the truth, for the revelations of the Lord shall be given unto you, in thy night visions and dreams. The inspiration of the Holy Ghost shall be with thee by day and thou shalt receive a gift of the deceiving of the spirits of men and know when they are telling thee the truth and not be easily deceived. Thy future is full of blessings. In the days of trouble and afflictions, either of body or mind, thou shalt not be left alone, for angels shall come to your rescue. Remember this blessing and take courage, for thou art one of God's precious children and shall be prospered in thy labors. Avoid wicked company and don't use bad language, but say thy prayers and God will be thy friend. Thou shall go to the house of God and mingle with prophets and work for the living and dead and have thy name recorded among the righteous as a saviour upon Mt. Zion. In the end of thy days thou shalt be gathered to thy father and in the resurrection of the just, come forth to honor and go on to thy exaltation. For all these blessings I seal upon thee with the promise of eternal life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
