Brother *****: through the authority vested in me in the holy Melchizedek Priesthood, in humility I place my hands upon your head, praying for guidance from our Heavenly Father that I might be able to give unto you your patriarchal blessing.

You are a son of the living God whom He has found worthy to receive mortality in this dispensation of time. This is the fullness of time when the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored with all the powers and authority of all the previous dispensations restored to earth for the salvation of mankind. The gospel shall not be taken again from the earth, for these are the last days. The time is drawing near for the return of our Lord and Savior to establish His millennial reign.

I bless you with the gift of faith that you shall continue to grow in testimony and knowledge of the plan of life and salvation, that you shall fully realize the great value of your membership in the Church to you, for it is the way unto life eternal in the Celestial Kingdom. The blessings of the gospel are many. They shall bring into your life here in mortality peace and happiness; and assurance of life after death shall put purpose into your life. I bless you that you shall treasure this membership above all else in life. The greatest accomplishment of your life shall be to convert yourself to the truths of the Church and the gospel.

You have made solemn covenant in the waters of baptism to take upon yourself the name of Jesus Christ. I bless you that you shall remain steadfast and true to the covenant all the days of your life, for where much is given much is expected. The Lord desires that this life shall be joyous and beautiful, one of achievement and accomplishment for you, and so you shall have the blessings and the promptings of the Holy Spirit as you continue in righteousness. The Holy Spirit will quicken your mind. You shall always recognize truth from error and shall understand the gospel and how to be saved.

I bless you with a desire and determination to turn aside the temptations of the adversary, blessing you that your shield of faith shall protect you from the fiery darts of the adversary. These are perilous days. Satan is striving with all his cunning to deceive mankind. You shall be guided and protected through the Holy Spirit if you will remain true and faithful and obedient. I bless you with continued strength to refuse to partake of alcohol, drugs and tobacco and bless you that you shall keep your mind clean and pure, that your acts shall likewise be clean and pure.

The Lord has entrusted unto you the Aaronic Priesthood. He shall grant unto you the blessing of receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood, which you shall honor and magnify through your personal example of life. You bear great responsibility as a bearer of the priesthood of being a standard bearer among your fellow-men. Be ye holy as you bear the vessels of the Lord.

I bless you that you shall be humble and submissive, willing to follow the counsel of the Prophet and those who shall preside over you in the Church. Now, you bear a responsibility to serve the Lord and go out into the world as a missionary, helping to spread the good news of the gospel and helping others to come to a knowledge of the restoration of the gospel. You shall bear testimony of the divinity of Jesus Christ, of Joseph Smith as a true Prophet of God and of this Church and its truths. You shall never be ashamed of the gospel but shall be a valiant witness of the Lord and the Church at all times and in all places.

Be a light unto the world, a man of honesty and truthfulness, obedient to the law of the land, one who is fair in all your dealings with your fellowmen, a man of compassion, patience and understanding, desirous of helping your fellowmen, of lifting them up and strengthening them. The Lord will expect that you shall accept calls to serve in positions of responsibility in the priesthood. In humility you shall accept these calls and shall put forth your best efforts to fulfill these responsibilities. Now, I promise you that you shall not find that they shall be a burden or undue sacrifice, but that you shall enjoy them and shall grow in your own abilities and talents as you serve your fellowmen.

The Lord will bless you with the material blessings of life if you place first in your life the things of God.

I bless you with a desire to take a sweet daughter of Zion in the holy temple to be sealed to her for all eternity. I bless you that as you assume the responsibilities of husband and father you shall be guided to fill this responsibility in nobleness, having an understanding heart full of charity and love, and bless you that you shall be dependable and trustworthy as the Lord places responsibilities upon you.

You shall live long upon the land, doing much good for your fellowmen.

Through Ephraim is your lineage in the House of Israel, a noble birthright.

I bless you to honor and obey your choice mother. Stay close to her, support her and sustain her and follow her counsel.

The Lord loves you and desires that this life shall be one of joy and success and happiness, that you have a desire to come back into His presence to live with Him eternally. I seal this blessing upon you, sealing you to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection, crowned in glory, immortality and eternal life, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
