In the authority vested in me as an ordained Patriarch of this church, which authority was bestowed upon me by an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, I place my hands upon your head and according to your desire I give unto you your Patriarchal blessing: This blessing shall be an inspiration and a guide to you in the years that are yet to come. Cherish it and read it often and become familiar with its contents. Meditate upon the promises that are given unto you and remember always that they are yours only if you follow in the paths of righteousness.

You have royal blood in your veins for you are a descendant of Father Abraham. You come from the house of Joseph the favorite son of Jacob who was sold into Egypt and from the loins of Ephraim. As such you are entitled to all of the rights, privileges and blessings that come to the righteous members of that great and royal house of Israel.

You were valiant in your first estate and the Lord has rewarded you for it. You struggled valiantly that we might have our free agency and the Lord held you in reserve to come forth at this late time to the home of goodly parents that you might be set a good example and taught the principles of truth and were permitted in time to receive the Gospel and to aid the Priesthood in building up His great church preparatory to His second coming.

Dear sister you have been rewarded with an excellent mind and a sunny happy disposition. You have been endowed with a splendid personality and can and do make a favorable impression among the very best of associates. Life has been good to you and you have looked upon this world as a place for happiness and have desired that others also might be happy. I bless you that that spirit might continue with you always and that in humility you might continue to set a good example to your associates and that the good spirit that you have might radiate to all of those around you. Your name shall be honored by future generations.

Your influence shall be for good and others shall watch your actions because they know that you are one who serves the Lord and they will desire to do what you do. If you will continue to serve the Lord in humility your influence will grow and you will develop the great gift of leadership and become a power for good both in the church and out.

Be gentle and kind and charitable. Go to the homes of those who might be in need. Lift them up and encourage them. Leave with them the spirit of peace and hope and they will bless your name. The Lord will lift you up and make you a power for good. Do not hesitate to take upon yourself your full share of the responsibilities of the church. Be a faithful servant and not a slothful one. Work at any position you might be called to and you will be blessed. The people you meet at your labors shall have a profound influence in your life. They will aid you in times of indecision and at times save you from yourself. They will be your best friends and will come to your aid in any emergency that might arise. You will likewise do the same for them.

I bless you that you might have a happy home life. I bless you that you might find for a mate a boy who bears His Priesthood and that you might make your vows eternal before Him, and rear a righteous posterity in His name. May you honor the Priesthood in your home and have your family prayers, where your home will be adorned with the products of your own creation, where the really good things of life are made important and where old and good friends come to call and mingle their fine spirit with yours.

Learn the Gospel for you will be given opportunities to both teach it and to spread it, among those who have not known it and especially to the young of the church. Your reward will be in seeing them choose the paths of righteousness. You together with your sisters will be called to presiding positions and the Lords work will grow and prosper under your leadership. I bless you that you might have the great gift of understanding. May you in all humility understand the problems of those who come to you sometimes in tears, for some way out of their difficulties. May the advice you give them restore their peace of mind, and because of your advice have a desire to follow Him.

I bless you might set such standards for yourself and set an example that all will admire you for the life you lead and will have a desire to emulate your fine example. If you will live the Lords law of health you will be given treasures, yes even hidden treasures of knowledge, and will be able to do anything He might required of you. Learn to know the Lord. Talk to Him as one person talks to another. Pray in humility and you will be blessed. Guard your virtue for it is your most priceless possession. The loss of it can lead only to misery and the loss of the fine spirit you now have.

You will be given opportunities to preach the Gospel and if you are faithful and humble His spirit will attend you and the Holy Ghost will bear witness of your words and many of those who hear your words shall heed.

I bless you will all of the good things in life; That your prayers might be answered, that your burdens may never be more than you can bear and that you might live till He shall decide you have finished your work upon the earth.

Do all things in moderation that your health might be protected, for you will need it in the days to come. Guard your emotions that you might think clearly at all times, guard your appetites for they can lead to excesses. Guard your tongue and save your peace of mind. Guard your temper and thereby save many friends.

I bless you that you may live worthy to receive the blessings that have now been pronounced upon your head and thereby be saved in His celestial kingdom. I bless you that you may arise with your loved ones on the morning of the first resurrection and I seal all of those blessings upon your head in the authority of the Priesthood I bear and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
