Brother *****, by virtue of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood in me vested, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I place my hands upon your head to give you a patriarchal blessing, one which you have requested; and may the Lord continue to bless you, bless you with the strong desire to follow the commandments that He has given you to follow.
You have accepted baptism and confirmation in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and so doing, you have accepted all of those commandments that our Heavenly Father has given His children to live by, and this will be the pathway that you will tread throughout your life in preparation for the eternal life that you are looking forward to, that time when you will be able to again enjoy the association with our Father in Heaven. Think of the great blessings that will be yours, not only in reaching exaltation in His kingdom, but the great service that you will render to others in doing do.
You are greatly blessed, for you are of the House of Israel through the loins of Ephraim. Live so that you can be entitled to and receive all of the blessings that come through that wonderful lineage.
I bless you with a strong desire in your heart to prepare yourself for the many callings and responsibilities that our Heavenly Father has for you. Study the scriptures, and in doing do, you will realize more your responsibilities with our Heavenly Father, and at the same time, you will be preparing yourself for the responsibilities and callings that our Heavenly Father has for you. You will have opportunities to teach and to influence for good those around you, in the classroom, in your life generally, for you will have opportunities to associate with many who are not members of the Church, but through your living, the way that you live will give them the desire to know what you have that they don't have, and this will give them an opportunity to ask for the missionaries and be taught the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In your preparation for life, study, use your time well in learning and preparing yourself for the calling, the work that you will do in making a living, preparing yourself for that time when you will look for that person that you want to be with throughout this life and throughout the eternities, one who loves the Church as you do, and will want you to take her to the temple and there be sealed to each other for time and all eternity, to receive your own endowments and accept greater responsibilities with our Heavenly Father; and this will be growth and development and happiness for you. He has many lovely spirits for you and your companion to bring into this world; and think of the great responsibilities that will be yours as an eternal family, to guide and direct those spirits to adulthood. This will give you the great responsibility of living such a life that your children will follow you and will be able to tread that trail, that pathway that will lead them to eternal life.
I bless you with the desire to seek out your progenitors, those who have gone on, who have not had the opportunity to hear the Gospel, but through your efforts, you will find sufficient information so that their work can be done in the temples, and they, too, can enjoy the blessings of the Gospel.
I bless you with the missionary spirit, that you will take every advantage, opportunity to mingle with those who are not members of the Church, but you can have great influence with them. Be patient with your own parents; they are wonderful parents and they want the best for you; and your living and the way you live will be influential with them; and hopefully, in time, they may see the light in the crack of the door which will help them and assist them open that door to exaltation in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom.
I bless you with every blessing that our Heavenly Father has in store for you; and through your faithfulness in living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you shall come forth in the morning of the First Resurrection to again enjoy the association with your loved and dear ones, and with your Father in Heaven; and I bless you to this end, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
