Brother Heber Craven. In accordance with the desires and according to the dictates or the Holy Spirit unto me, I lay my hands upon thy head this morning to seal a Patriarchal Blessing upon thee that shall be a source of comfort and consolation with thee while thou art walking in the slippery path of youth and growing up to manhood. For thou art a child of God by adoption and thou shalt eventually become a member of the church and Kingdom of God, and have hands laid upon thee for the reception of the Holy Ghost, even the comforter, which shall bring things past and present to thy mind and show thee things to come. For thou shalt eventually receive a Portion of the Holy Priesthood which Priesthood is after the order of the Son of God without beginning of days or end of time, but has power to bind on earth and it shall be bound in heaven and to loose on earth and it shall be loosed in heaven. And if thou wilt honor thy father and thy mother in the days of thy youth, thy days shall be long in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an everlasting inheritance. And thou shalt become wise unto salvation. And thou shalt do much good in thy day and generation in bringing many of the honest in heart to a knowledge of the truth, both among the Gentiles and the Jews.

Thou shalt help bind up the law and seal up the testimony with regard to this generation. And thou shalt help to break down the strong hold of Babylon by strong reasoning. For thou shalt become like the pen of a ready writer. And thou shall have power to unfold the scriptures that are contained in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon and in the Doctrine and Covenants, that have reference to the latter-day work. And if thou wilt listen to the gentle admonition of the Holy Spirit, thou shalt never lack for a knowledge of God or Godliness. For thy mind shalt be filled with knowledge concerning the kingdom of God as it exists in Heaven and on the earth. For thou shalt learn line upon line and precept upon precept, here a little and there a little, of the mind and will of the Lord concerning thee until thou art perfectly acquainted with the plan of salvation in all its bearing upon the human family.

And thou shalt become a father in Israel in the own due time of the Lord. And shall raise up sons and daughters to the honor and glory of God. And thou shalt receive through washings and anointings in the house of the Lord. And come up as a savior on mount Zion. Even a savior unto many of thy friends and relatives, that have died without a knowledge of the truth. And thou shalt stand in Holy places. And be like a watchman upon the walls of Zion while the judgments go forth unto victory. And in the last days thou shalt be blessed pertaining to the temporal affairs and pertaining to thy house and lands. And to thy flocks and herds. And in thy posterity after thee from generation to generation. And thou shalt run and not be weary. And walk and not faint. And the destroyer shall pass by thee as he did the children of Israel and not harm thee. And thou shalt come to thine inheritance in the land of Zion before you die or are translated as the lord will.

Thy lineage is of Joseph through the loins of Ephraim. And thou shalt have the blessings of the new and everlasting covenant sealed upon thy head through that lineage. And thou shalt join with the heavenly choir in singing praises to God and the Lamb whose merciful kindness endureth forever. These blessings I seal upon thy head and seal thee up unto eternal life upon conditions of faithfulness. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer. Even so Amen.
