*****, by authority of the holy Melchizedek Priesthood, and in my capacity as an ordained patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I lay my hands upon your head and confer upon you a patriarchal blessing.

My dear Brother *****, I bless you with the joyful assurance that your Heavenly Father loves you. You were with Him in your pre-earth life, and there you were obedient. You have been reserved to come to earth in this, the dispensation of the fulness of times, because your Heavenly Father has a special mission for you to accomplish.

You will become a leader among the Lord's people. You have been endowed with special gifts and talents, and you will be called upon to sit in counsel with your brothers and sister in the Church. As these responsibilities come, the Spirit of the Lord will rest mightily upon you, and you will be endowed with the capacity to feel and respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. You will be blessed with wisdom, and this special gift, born of the Spirit, will be magnified over the years. You will become recognized as one who counsels in wisdom and in love and many will seek counsel at your hand.

Your lineage is through Ephraim of the house of Israel. As a member of this favored lineage, you are entitled to all of the blessing promised to Abraham of old, including the blessing of exaltation as you remain faithful to your gospel covenants.

In the appointed time, you will be called upon to enter the mission field, and there you will lift your voice with enthusiasm and with great faith. You will be a righteous influence among your fellow missionaries. Your example will influence others for good, and you will find in the mission field those who are waiting to hear your message. You will find great joy as you serve as an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ and share that which is most precious to you with others.

You will have the joyful privilege of taking a worthy young daughter in Israel to the temple of God, there to be sealed for time and all eternity as husband and wife. There will be a happy spirit in your home. Heavenly Father will send some of His choice spirit children to your family. You will be a wise and loving and able father. With the help of your eternal companion, you will find joy in your responsibilities as a parent in Israel and in your activities as a family. You will see your little ones grow up with testimonies of the gospel and a love of their Heavenly Father and the Savior, and this will be a source of much peace and joy to you.

You have been endowed with a keen mind, with maturity beyond your years. With this special gift, opportunities will open up to you. You will be able to choose a career in which you will excel. You will be guided by the inspiration of heaven in selecting courses of study and ultimately your life's work. You will choose a field of labor that will be fulfilling and rewarding, and through which you will be of service to your fellowman and find much satisfaction in the contributions that you will make. You will become recognized among your peers for the excellence of your work. You will become a leader within your community, where you will be an influence for good among many with whom you associate, including some not of your faith. Such opportunities will occur through your associations professionally and in other community activities.

With the special gift with which you have been endowed, the capacity to receive spiritual insights, you will become a gospel scholar. You will find joy in your study of the scriptures and other good books, and you will come to have an in depth understanding of the saving doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You will teach others with clarity and with influence, and will lift many to a higher plain spiritually. You will help them to have a greater understanding of the beautiful doctrines of the gospel and of the promises that await those who are faithful. Your influence will be great within our Father's kingdom.

I caution you, my dear brother, that because of your capacity for good, the evil one will use all of his cunning devices to deter you in subtle ways and to lead you away from the path that leads to eternal life. You will have the spirit of discernment, and you will readily recognize his evil designs. You will have the spiritual strength to shun evil and to rise above his temptations. You will go forward with faith and determination, and be exemplary in your life.

Your mother will find joy in you as she sees you grow in spiritual stature and accomplish much that is noteworthy during your sojourn in mortality.

I bless you now, that you may go forward with an increased desire to achieve your full potential spiritually, and to excel in other areas of your life. I promise you that as you give your best effort, the Spirit of the Lord will strengthen you, so that the gifts and talents with which you have been endowed will grow, and that you will become a man recognized for your steadfastness in the gospel. You will experience much joy as you serve faithfully and seek to cultivate the special gifts with which you have been blessed.

I confer these blessing upon you, and seal you up to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection, the resurrection of the just, there to receive glory, immortality and eternal life, with all such blessings contingent upon the purity of your life, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
