Dear Sister *****, In the name of the Lord and in the authority of my calling I seal upon your devoted head a patriarchal blessing. Blessed be you, Dear Sister *****, for seeking the Lord, and for having faith in His servants and in this Holy Ordinance.
The Lord maketh known unto you that your labors thus far in life are accepted of Him, Yea, your sins and your imperfections are forgiven unto you, and your calling and your election is even now made sure, for you have done your part well, you have freely laid your life upon the altar. You have been a cheerful and devoted companion to your husband and a worthy mother to your offspring, and to them you have transmitted in rich measure the noble traits of character of a noble race.
I seal upon you at this time the blessings of your heritage and birthright, even the blessings of the House of Israel, for truly, you are a natural Ephraimite, and the blessings of Ephraim have been upon your posterity thru time and all eternity. Yea, tho your children and descendants shall be wayward at times, yet shall they ever rally to the standard under which they have been reared, and the sentiments of honor which have been yours shall be stamped upon the tablets of their hearts, forever.
I bless you in your home and in your family circle, your husband and your children, Yea, both born and unborn, the favors of heaven shall be upon you all.
I seal upon you the blessings of the gospel in all its fullness, Yea, the blessings of Heaven and the blessings of earth, the blessings of peace of mind, and the blessings of confidence in the Lord in yourself and in your destiny.
The blessings of service, of doing things worth while, not only for yourself and your immediate family, but for your associates in life, Yea, to bless and comfort and cheer; to give and to lend, to counsel and to advise, Yea, to give the best that is in you for the good of mankind.
And know this, Dear Sister *****, that for all you shall give, and bestow upon your fellowmen, you shall receive in return an hundred fold, Yea, heaped up, pressed down and running over, till your heart shall be full to the overflowing. And you shall have treasures laid up in Heaven, to be enjoyed by and by.
I seal you up against the powers of the destroyer, that you shall not be laid low in untimely death, but that you shall be immune from pestilence and from disease, Yea, and that there shall never be any necessity for you to be subjected to the surgeon's knife.
I bless you, Dear Sister, that you may have added vision in the temporal affairs of life and that avenues of opportunity may be opened up that your troubled mind may be set at ease concerning obligations and the ordinary cares and worries and responsibilities that have been crowded upon your shoulders. These things shall be cared for in the time and season thereof. For the Lord shall soften the hearts of men of affairs in your behalf. Unseen powers shall be in operation in your behalf and angels shall be sent and their influence felt that adjustments may be made according to your needs that for your temporal blessings and good.
The blessings of the priesthood shall rest upon you and upon your house and the blessings of Heaven shall distill upon you that your aching heart may be soothed and comforted and that the high ideals of your noble and tender heart may be fully realized that you may stand in holy places undisturbed because of the experiences of life. For the blessings and promises of the priesthood and the sealing ordinances thereof shall be fulfilled according to the decree of heaven.
Therefore, let your heart be comforted and when he whose love and confidence you have a right to demand shall meet the requirements of the Priesthood of the living God the comforting influence of the Holy Ghost shall make known unto you that he is worthy of your love and confidence and respect as a father in Israel. Therefore, do as your illustrated Father and your queenly mother would have you do if they were here.
I, therefore, bless you with a Father's blessing, May. For his promises would be to follow the advice of the Priesthood and the Lord's anointed and as you shall seek counsel and advice from those who preside over you as the spirit shall direct, they shall receive inspiration from Heaven in your behalf and shall point the way and as you follow such counsel and advice, divinely given troubles shall vanish as dew before the morning sun. Your lonely heart shall be comforted and love and confidence restored such as you cannot understand at this time. For as the Lord shaped and guided the destiny of his servant Joseph who was sold into Egypt for the blessings of his father's house and though he was bound in chains and cast into dungeons yet his forgiving heart was magnified before his offenders, and accusers vanished and the spirit of the Lord magnified before the king of Babylon. Thus it shall be with you.
The memories of the past that have been unpleasant shall be removed and your soul shall be lifted from despondency and worry to joy and happiness and that through the family ties and blessings of the Priesthood where your destiny shall be shaped by the decrees of Heaven. I bless you, May, with courage. I seal upon you the spirit of discernment. I seal upon you the comforting influence of the Holy Spirit and bless you to the end that you may have vision according to your needs. I seal you up against the powers of the destroyer even unto the day of redemption and bless you that your last days in the earth shall be your best days. I seal upon you the blessings and comforts of life. You shall never want, and besides, you shall enjoy the happy disposition of ever being rich in your possessions, be they few or many, little or much.
But surely, Dear Sister *****, the spirit indicateth that your latter days shall be your best days.
I seal you up unto eternal life, and a glorious resurrection thru your faithfulness.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
