Emily May Hemsley, notwithstanding thy youth, thou art numbered among the daughters of Zion. The eye of the Lord has been upon thee from thy birth and therefore thy guardian angel has watched over thee and preserved thee from the power of the destroyer and now I say unto thee, look around thee and listen to the teaching of thy parents and in riper years honor thy parents. Remember their counsel and thou shall gain wisdom, often time by the experience of the past and by listening to the whispering of that still small voice which will guide unto all truth and I ask God the Eternal Father to give thy angel special charge concerning thee to go with thee through the Journey of Life to protect thee from the evils of the world, and the power of the destroyer, that thou shall fill thy mission for thou art chosen to labour much in thy youth and it shall be thy providence to sit in council among thy sex. It shall be thy duty to defend the innocent and to pronounce sentence upon the guilty. It shall be thy providence to be a peacemaker wheresoever thy lot shall be cast. Therefore, I say unto thee, grow up in grace and in a knowledge of the truth and when you grow older thou shall walk in the ways of the Lord. Truth and virtue shall be thy motto. Many of riper years shall honor thy judgment and the younger shall rejoice in thy teachings.

Thou art of Ephraim and shall fill up the measure of thy creation. Thy name shall be honorable in the land and thy children shall grow up around thee and bear thy name in honorable remembrance. Thou shall not lack for the comforts of life and no one shall be turned from thy door hungry and for thy kindness many shall remember thee in after years. Therefore look forward to the future with pleasure. This blessing with all which thou art heir to, having been born under the covenant, I seal upon thee in the name of Jesus Christ and I seal thee up unto Eternal Life to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection with many of thy kindred and friends, even so.
