DEAR BROTHER KIMBALL: According to thy desire I place my hands upon thy head, and as the Spirit of the Lord shall direct me, give unto thee a blessing for thy comfort and benefit throughout this life according to thy faithfulness. Thou art of the lineage of Ephraim born of goodly parents, and thy name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life for good. And thy life is precious in the sight of the Lord; His tender watchcare has been over thee all thy days; He has seen thy faith and thy devotion; He has also seen thy trials and thy weaknesses, and He has accepted thy devotion and thy willingness to honor and to serve Him. He has also accepted thy labors in His service, and will bless and sanctify them for thy good and blessing. Therefore, I say unto thee, be comforted and continue to rejoice in the blessings of the Lord. Continue to follow the whisperings of that still small voice, which is the voice of the Holy Spirit, which it is thy right to enjoy for thy comfort and blessing, for thy guide, both temporally and spiritually. And as long as thou wilt acknowledge the hand of God in thy blessings and strive to live worthy of them, thou shalt be prospered in thy righteous undertakings and shall be given means and opportunities to gather around thee both the necessities and the comforts of this life. It will also be thy privilege to share of thy substance with many who are less fortunate than thyself; and for all of thy acts of kindness, thy words and deeds of comfort and good cheer God will bless and qualify thee for thy labors and multiply thy possessions and increase thy power to do good. Therefore, continue to acknowledge the hand of the Lord in the blessings, and be not discouraged when thy burdens seem heavy for thee to bear, or thy trials seem greater than thou art able to withstand, but continue to keep thy trust in the Lord; honor the Holy Priesthood, for it is a power in thy hands against the designs of the adversary. And because of thy faith thou shalt be comforted and sustained by the answers to thy prayers. Health and plenty will abound in thy home, and thy name shall live after thee in honorable remembrance from generation to generation. Therefore, go forth in the discharge of duty, keeping thy trust in the Lord, and be not discouraged, but be of good cheer, and rejoice over thy blessings and thy privileges.
Take advantage of the opportunities to labor in behalf of thy kindred, both the living and the dead. Thy teachings and thy testimonies and thy labors will cause thy heart to rejoice. For, many will look to thee with a desire to observe thy counsel and thy teachings. Thou shalt also take advantage of thy opportunities to further the work of thy father in the earth in behalf of thy kindred dead, for much depends upon thee concerning these labors. And in answers to thy prayers, and through thy diligence in study and research thou shalt be the means of assisting both temporally and spiritually, and shall secure thy blessings concerning these labors and thy heart shall be made to rejoice both in this life and in the life to come. Therefore, seek to know thy duties; continue to be humble before the Lord, and thou shalt be comforted with an answer to thy prayers and made equal to every responsibility, for means will be placed at thy command to meet every obligation in righteousness, and thou shalt be permitted to live and finish thy mission upon the earth and enjoy the fruits of thy labors.
I seal this blessing upon thy head through thy faithfulness. And seal thee up unto eternal life to come forth in the resurrection of the just with thy kindred and loved ones, by virtue of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
