Brother Jedediah, I place my hands upon your head in the name of Jesus Christ and confer upon you a Patriarchal blessing which shall be to you a guiding star through life. Thou art of the lineage of the seed of Israel through the loins of Ephraim whose seed was scattered among the Gentiles and unto whom the blessings and promises were made through the Fathers of old, whom the Lord loved, and covenanted with His servants, our ancestors, that He would bless and multiply in the earth and to whom were made special promises regarding the Gospel and the gifts and blessings thereof. And because of this your lineage you are a legal heir to the blessings of the New and Everlasting Covenant, the blessings of the Priesthood of the Son of God, and the privilege of officiating in all the ordinances thereof, and to labor in the Temples of the Lord for the living and for the dead, and to labor in life to secure unto yourself as an eternal inheritance for your wives and your children and make your calling and election sure, to be a Savior upon Mr. Zion in very deed, and to accomplish these of all the most important duties in life. I seal upon you the spirit of this your holy calling, that it shall rest upon you in mighty power and with renewed zeal, that through its influence your mind shall be elevated far above the cares and turbulent scenes of life, and that the cares of life and duties thereof shall not overpower you.

I bless you as a financier gifted to secure readily the necessaries and comforts of life, that as you have been faithful and your desires have been to serve the Lord and to make your life a success, so shall the Lord now in His own way and in His own due time bless you that your righteous desires shall be realized, that you shall be a living witness and a demonstration of the power of the Lord and of His acknowledgment of your course in life and that the words of those who scoff at the Lord and at those who dare to obey His holy laws shall be brought to shame. And I bless you in your home and in your habitations. I bless your wives and your children and seal upon you the spirit of wisdom and of judgment that you may govern well the souls of the children of God placed in your charge and bless you that you may have and fully retain their love and admiration and respect. I bless you in your outgoing and your incoming in all your labors and charge you that your thoughts be pure and your intentions in all you walks in life be in accordance with righteousness. I bless you that your offspring born unto you shall be those who shall be of the pure blood of Ephraim and that your name shall be established through your generations after you in the Kingdom of God for ever, and that your inheritance shall be granted unto you through them in the Land of Zion, and that your name and your father's name shall never lack a representative in the Kingdom of God forever.

I seal you up unto eternal life to come forth in the morning of the First Resurrection and be crowned with glory and immortality and eternal lives all heights and depths, according to the blessings which have formerly been pronounced upon you and which blessings I now reseal upon your head. These blessings you shall receive through your continued faithfulness in the Lord and according to your day and the trials thereof and the righteous desires of your heart so shall be your strength. I seal them upon you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Amen.
