Brother *****, by the power of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, I lay my hands upon your head to give you your patriarchal blessing according to my calling as a patriarch in the _____ Stake. I pray to our Heavenly Father that this blessing will be His mind and will concerning you and it will be a source of consolation and a guide to you throughout your life here in mortality.

Brother *****, you are one of God's choice sons. You were held in reserve in the pre-mortal world to come to the earth at this time to fulfill your mission here upon the earth. The mission you were assigned, when you left His holy presence is to help fulfill the covenant that God made with the House of Israel. This includes taking the gospel to the lost house of Israel and those who sit in darkness. Be ever ready to share the gospel with all people you come in contact with, as you are directed by the Holy Spirit, during you lifetime.

Brother *****, you were very close to your Heavenly Father in the pre-mortal world and you kept your first estate. You worked diligently for the cause of truth for which you loved. You knew the gospel of Jesus Christ and understood it thoroughly in your spiritual state. Now you have come to the earth without memory of that existence to prove your Heavenly Father that you will love Him more than you will love the things of the world. Satan desires to have your soul. He will do everything he can to deceive you and cause you to become involved in those things of the world. This will diminish the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ in your mind and may keep you from fulfilling your life's mission.

Remember Heavenly Father, Brother *****, as you go through life receiving the praise and honors of men for successes you achieve. Remember to keep your Heavenly Father and His love paramount in your mind. Love the Lord with all your heart, might, mind, and strength. Do everything you do with an eye single to God's glory, then as you receive praise, honors and worldly rewards you will be able to keep them in perspective. You will be a force for good among members and non members of the church. You will be an example to many people who are not of our faith and they will look to you and be impressed and many will join the church because of the example that you set. Likewise, you are responsible to set a standard in your own family. A standard for your brothers and sisters to follow. Follow the counsel and guidance you receive from your parents, who love you very much. You have been blessed with goodly parents, accept of their wisdom. Seek their counsel and advice in guiding your life.

At the appropriate time, Brother *****, seek an eternal companion. Counsel with your parents and especially your Heavenly Father. This will be one of your greatest decisions in life. Choose a daughter of God who is worthy of all acceptation, who is not stained by the sins of the world. Be sure that you give her a life of virtue and honor, likewise untainted by the sins of the world. Then you can go to the House of the Lord to be married and sealed for time and eternity as part of the temple endowment. Your purity will prepare you to learn and understand the endowment. Comprehending the endowment completely will lead you to great knowledge and help you obtain eternal life, which is the greatest of all blessings.

Brother, *****, you are from the lineage of Ephraim. Ephraim is the second son of Joseph, who was sold into Egypt. Joseph was promised many blessings which would be fulfilled at this time and in the future, before Christ comes. You will be involved in helping fulfill those blessings. Being of the lineage of Ephraim you are entitled to the blessings promised to this lineage as well as Joseph, Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham. You can claim those blessing by right of inheritance. Ephraim was blessed with the royal birthright of the House of Israel. You have a responsibility as a descendant of this lineage to help carry the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, wherever you go and under whatever circumstances you find yourself. The Holy Ghost will become your constant companion and tell you what to say and who to say it to and it will be right. Have the courage to do it and you will be blessed.

Brother *****, as you go forth to serve, prepare yourself by studying the Book of Mormon in great depth. In this book you will find the fullness of the gospel, in it's simplicity. The Book of Mormon will help you solve every problem in your own life and in the lives of those people who may come to you for help. Take the stick of Joseph, the Book of Mormon and the stick of Judah, the Bible and combine them in your hands. They will put down all contention concerning the doctrine of Christ, for those who will listen. This will be true in your own life as well as in the lives of those people you work with.

You have a glorious mission to fulfill here upon the earth. You will see great commotion, greater wickedness than now exists. You will see upheavals of the earth and the contentions which will tear families and society apart, but because of your faith in God and your faithfulness in keeping His commandments, you and yours will be preserved. If you prepare during good times, you will be able to provide for your family and those you are responsible for in times of need.

Honor your father and mother and your days will be long upon the earth. I promise you that if you will follow this course in living your life, you will come forth in the morning of the first resurrection clothed with glory, immortality and eternal life. You will stand among those of your kindred dead, who are worthy of this blessing. I remind you that these promises and blessings are yours to be received according to your faithfulness in keeping the commandments of God.

Brother *****, I promise you the gift of faith, for it will be by faith in God that you will be able to perform the great miracles that will follow you and to lead those who depend upon you for leadership. Seek the other gifts of the spirit and they will be given to you according to your needs. Remember that you may call down the angels of heaven for protection, guidance and help.
