Through the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood I lay my hands upon your head this beautiful Sabbath day and give you your Patriarchal blessing. Your Father in Heaven knows you personally and is pleased with your decision to come today to receive the additional direction and counsel that He has specifically for you. You were a valiant soul in the premortal life. There you showed your desire and willingness to observe all of the commandments and to follow the Savior in all that you did. You were diligent in learning and preparing yourself for mortality. Because of your preparation, you were held back to come to the earth at this time when the Gospel has been restored. There is much that needs to happen here upon the earth and you have been sent here now to help prepare for the wonderful things that are to take place. You are from the lineage of Ephraim. Those of this lineage have the specific responsibility, along with others, to help prepare for the gathering of the tribes of Israel and to prepare for the return of the Savior. Perhaps these events will not take place in your lifetime, but the good that you do now will help prepare for them. Remember that this blessing, as with all other blessings the Lord desires to bestow upon you, is contingent upon your worthiness and will be in accordance with His will.

You have been blessed with a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and with the desire to do what you are asked in righteousness and to be faithful and obedient to the commandments. You are a positive example in your Branch to the Young Women. They look to you as an example of righteousness. It is important that you will always be an example of one who is not ashamed of the Gospel or ashamed to tell others of it. You will have a positive influence upon your family. In due time, you will receive the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood and take upon yourself the oath and covenant of the Priesthood. It is important that you study and understand the oath and covenant in preparation of that day when you will receive the higher priesthood. As you exercise the Melchizedek Priesthood in righteousness, you will lay your hands upon the heads of others, more specifically your family members, and call down blessings of health and strength or comfort and peace. While serving as a full time missionary, you will see miracles take place as you provide blessings to the people in that land. Soon you will receive a call from a Prophet of God to go into the world to be a full-time missionary. You will be sent to an area of the world that is new and in some ways unusual to you. Through your diligent study and the Gifts of the Spirit that will be given to you, you will adapt well to missionary life. You will be instrumental in the Savior's hand, and will see many people brought to an understanding of the Gospel and gain testimonies of Jesus Christ. You will be a asset to your mission. Your mission president will love you because of your righteousness and because of your hard work.

You will be blessed with many Gifts of the spirit. You are already enjoying the gift of learning as you study your schoolwork, and it will be a blessing to you as you prepare for a future vocation and as you study the scriptures and Gospel topics. It is an important gift; so don't waste your time, but use it wisely in learning worthwhile things. As you continue to study the scriptures, your mind will be quickened and the truths of the Gospel will come to you plainly. You can then explain them to others in simplicity and in such a way that they will understand. You will be given the gift of healing and the gift of blessing, the gift of joy, and you will experience the gift of tongues.

In due time, you will be directed in finding a young lady who is worthy to go with you to the House of the Lord, there, to be sealed for time and all eternity. This is the most important goal that you can accomplish in mortality. Choose your friends wisely because it is through these good friends that you will meet your future spouse. You will be blessed with children, children who will depend on their father and their mother to teach them the Gospel and to help them gain strong testimonies at a young age. You will be a wise father and a loving husband. You will hold responsible positions in the church in those areas of the world where you live. You will be called to lead quorums, to teach, and to direct, and to guide. You will be known as a man of strong faith who relies upon his Father in Heaven to give him direction. Because of your sure faith and your obedience, you will have the wonderful gift of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. He will bear witness to you of truth and right and will be there to keep you safe by warning you if you're entering areas of danger.

Beware of Satan who desires that you not fulfill your potential. Always remember that he cannot tempt you beyond that which you cannot overcome. Always be faithful and obedient; do not become prideful in your learning of temporal or spiritual things. Always be supportive of your leaders; never talk bad about them, but follow their righteous counsel. You have been blessed with a wonderful mother and a father, and they love you and want the best for you. Now, as a priesthood holder in your mother's home, listen to and follow her advice and at all times exercise your priesthood in righteousness. You will be blessed with health and strength as you go through life and will accomplish in good health all those things that you've been sent here to do. You have the power to rise above any temptations which Satan will place before you.

You will grow strong in the Gospel that you might have the ability to serve others. Service is important; so be aware when people around you who may be struggling with their testimony, especially as you serve in the mission field. You will be impressed when you need to help others with their struggles in life by serving them. I bless you with peace and happiness throughout your life. It will be yours as long as you are worthy and as long as you do your part. Your time in mortality is precious; use it wisely in preparation for returning in the next life to be with your spouse and family in the presence of your Father in Heaven.
