*****, holding the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood and as an ordained Patriarch in the _____ Stake I place my hands upon your head and give unto you your Patriarchal Blessing. May you receive it in the spirit of humility for it contains direct revelation from Heavenly Father pertaining to your life here on the earth. Keep it in a special place and review it often and live your life in such a manner that you can receive the blessings, warnings and promises that it contains. It will help you to return to your Heavenly Father. It will give you the comfort and the courage to face trials and sorrows that will come. Heavenly Father wants you to know of his great love and his concern for you. He wants you to live a life of joy and happiness and he has given you the restored gospel to achieve that goal of happiness.
You will learn today of your true lineage in the house of Israel. You are of the tribe of Ephraim and entitled to all the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As a child of Ephraim you will have the opportunity to help further the work of the Lord here upon the earth. You are a child of God a son created in his own image and kept by his side in your pre mortal experience. There you were taught under his direction the things of eternity. You excelled in knowledge, wisdom and works and because of your faithfulness and your willingness to serve him he sent you to earth to a wonderful family that has loved, cherished and taught you the restored gospel. They have put your hand firmly on the iron rod and your feet securely on the path to eternal salvation. The rest of the journey is up to you.
So you came to earth and received your mortal body. It is a precious gift. Do nothing to defile it but keep it pure, clean and free from the sins of the world. Remember that it is the tabernacle of your holy spirit. You also received your agency at this time the ability to make all the decisions that will affect your life here upon the earth. If those decisions are good you will have the opportunity to learn to advance and progress. The Holy Ghost will be your constant companion to guide and direct you. If those decisions are bad your progress to eternal salvation could be halted and the Holy Ghost could leave you. Without the Holy Ghost your life will be dark, dreary and full of misery and regret.
You have developed a wonderful personality and cheerful character by gospel oriented words thoughts and actions. You are a joy to your family, friends and associates. The Melchizedek Priesthood that will be given to you is one of God's special gifts given only to the righteous and faithful members of the church. Be ever mindful of your responsibility as a priesthood holder in your home and work place wherever you live. Utilize it to serve by blessing and healing wherever it is needed.
You will help further the Lord's work here upon the earth by serving a mission. It will be the greatest blessing of your life for there your mind and body will grow to the fullness of their capabilities. Your mind will be center on all things spiritual and your ability to learn of the nature of life will be amplified and you will be able handle all of life's challenges. The knowledge and skills that you learn on your mission will serve you well the rest of your life in your work place, your home and your educational endeavors.
Education is the most important thing in this time of your life. Intelligence is next to godliness and God wants you to have an educated mind. For he wants you to have the quality of life that he desires for you and that you desire for yourself and your family. With an education you will overcome financial obstacles that will lie in your path.
When the time is right the Holy Ghost will point out to you your eternal companion. She will have the same value system that you have the same love of the gospel and the same dedication to education and the same wonderful testimony. You will take her by the hand and you will be sealed in God's Holy Temple for time and all eternity. You will receive the blessings that Heavenly Father reserved for those that serve in his temple. You will do the work for those who have gone before that they might progress in their heavenly sphere. Heavenly Father will provide you with some of his children. He will expect them to be raised in a gospel oriented home where love, faith and charity are taught. A home with a stable environment where the Holy Ghost can dwell and be an influence in your family.
Take every opportunity that comes your way to serve those that are less fortunate than you. Give of your time, energy, love and understanding to those that have not the basics of life and bring hope into their lives. For God requires of you to be in the service of your fellow man. Accept all the callings that come to you from the ward and stake leaders. For it is by serving in the church that your knowledge and testimony will grow and you will be an asset in the wards and stakes where you live.
Keep the Lord in your life on a daily basis by daily prayer and daily scripture study. Attend your church meetings weekly. Share your testimony whenever possible for those that hear you will be edified and blessed. You have the promise that if you obey the word of wisdom that you can run and not faint that your mind and body will perform to the best of its ability. You have the promise that if you pay your tithing that the windows of heaven will open and shower blessings down upon you. You also have the promise that if you are faithful that all these blessings will be yours. Heavenly Father is very proud of you and you are indeed his son. I seal this blessing upon you with the sure knowledge that you will rise on the first resurrection of the just and there you will serve the Lord during his millennial reign teaching those who have never heard his name. I give you this blessing in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
