Sister Mary I lay my hands upon thy head in the name of Jesus and in his name I seal a father's blessing and ratify by virtue of the Priesthood all thy former blessings and seals that have been pronounced upon thee. I seal upon thee equal blessings with those sealed upon the daughters of Abraham. As to thy fidelity thy prudence thou art equal with Mary of old. Thou hast preserved thy covenants in honor. Thy example will be revered as a pattern of piety by the rising generation. Thou hast been faithful in thy stewardship in rearing thy offspring. Thou hast counseled them in prudence, in chastity and love. They will rise up and bless thee. They will preserve thy name and memory. Let them be instructed by thy counsel that thy work in thy exaltation may be made complete, that thy partner will be restored to thy bosom in the fellowship of love. Be comforted my daughter for thy partner's spirit is oft hovering about thee when peace occupies thy mind, which does illuminate, which does convey light to thy thoughts. Remember his presence is near. He sees thee do all thy labors in all thy meditations, and in the morning of the resurrection a reunion will take place. Then will thy joy be full. Then wilt thou realize the plan of redemption which has been obtained through the merits of Christ's blood. There thy children will be given thee, where separating will cease forever. Then will the Patriarchal order of God be established for the rule of thy government. There the blessings of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob will crown thy labors. Cherish in thy bosom the whisperings of peace and thou shalt dwell a Mother in Israel to console the heart of the widow and orphan. Thou hast many attributes in thy bosom that will be extended upon the minds of thy posterity, that will become a lamp in their path. Thou art from Ephraim, a pure descendant from the promised seed. By the authority of the holy Priesthood I seal thee up to be crowned with glory, immortality, and eternal lives. I place the seal in the name of Jesus, even so Amen and Amen. |
James A., we place our hands upon thy head to bless thee and in the name of Jesus we ratify thy father's seal and blessing upon thee. Thou art highly favored of the Lord having thy father to counsel thee in the new and everlasting covenant. Hearken to his admonitions and greatly will thy blessings be increased, for the Lord will bless thee and thy brethren will honor thee. Thou art brought into covenant with thy Creator through the merits of Christ's blood whereby thou wilt be honored of the Lord in all thy labors and pursuits in life. Thou hast thy agency whereby thou art made responsible. Be faithful in thy stewardship and there will be no principle of exaltation but what is attainable to thy mind. Thou art brought into heirship by covenant with the faithful even to enjoy the blessing with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thou wilt have to prune in this last vineyard that thy garments may be cleansed from the blood of this generation. Thou wilt be favored in bearing the tidings of salvation to the benighted sons and daughters of Adam. Thou wilt do well while in the morning of life to store thy mind with knowledge preparatory to thy labors. Thou hast the light of the everlasting gospel. Thou art increasing in light pertaining thereto. Thou shalt have power over evil spirits and the gift to rebuke foul spirits, for thou shalt not be hindered in thy labors or put down by any influence of darkness. Thou art an Ephraimite and in thy heirship thou art numbered with the faithful. Therefore, receive the seal of thy Father as a blessing of the Lord and thy crown shall be glorious, thy posterity numerous, and thy exaltation sure, and we ratify this blessing in the name of Jesus. Even so, Amen and Amen. |
