James A., we place our hands upon thy head to bless thee and in the name of Jesus we ratify thy father's seal and blessing upon thee. Thou art highly favored of the Lord having thy father to counsel thee in the new and everlasting covenant. Hearken to his admonitions and greatly will thy blessings be increased, for the Lord will bless thee and thy brethren will honor thee. Thou art brought into covenant with thy Creator through the merits of Christ's blood whereby thou wilt be honored of the Lord in all thy labors and pursuits in life. Thou hast thy agency whereby thou art made responsible. Be faithful in thy stewardship and there will be no principle of exaltation but what is attainable to thy mind. Thou art brought into heirship by covenant with the faithful even to enjoy the blessing with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thou wilt have to prune in this last vineyard that thy garments may be cleansed from the blood of this generation. Thou wilt be favored in bearing the tidings of salvation to the benighted sons and daughters of Adam. Thou wilt do well while in the morning of life to store thy mind with knowledge preparatory to thy labors. Thou hast the light of the everlasting gospel. Thou art increasing in light pertaining thereto. Thou shalt have power over evil spirits and the gift to rebuke foul spirits, for thou shalt not be hindered in thy labors or put down by any influence of darkness. Thou art an Ephraimite and in thy heirship thou art numbered with the faithful. Therefore, receive the seal of thy Father as a blessing of the Lord and thy crown shall be glorious, thy posterity numerous, and thy exaltation sure, and we ratify this blessing in the name of Jesus. Even so, Amen and Amen.
