Mother Burr, in the authority of the Holy Priesthood, I place my hands upon your head, to give you a patriarchal blessing according to the desire of your heart. You certainly have great reason to rejoice and give God the glory and the honor in that He has preserved your life and enabled you to maintain your integrity through all the vicissitudes and trials incident to mortal life. Surely the eye of the Lord has been upon you, and you have seen many manifestations of His goodness. You have lived to see prophets, apostles and inspired men and also the fulfillment of the predictions of the ancient Prophets. The Lord has led you by His holy spirit and the gift of faith to behold the glories of the latter days. You have seen temples reared to the name of the Most High. In contemplation of these great things, let your heart rejoice, and your soul take delight in contemplating the glories of the future. Many of the mysteries of the kingdom have been unfolded to your mind. The Lord has directed your footsteps and accepted of your labors. He has given you the honor of being a mother in Israel and after your labors have concluded in mortal life, your posterity will increase through generations yet to come while you return to your Father and God. His hand will be over you for good. Your spirit will commune with the spirits of the just. Your dreams will give you a knowledge of things behind the veil. No good things will be withheld from you that are necessary for your comfort. Having lived the life of the righteous, your latter days shall be sweet and comforting. You will rise in the morning of the first resurrection and be crowned with eternal life, all of which I seal upon you, through your faithfulness, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
