Sister *****, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the name of the holy authority of the holy priesthood I bear, I place my hands upon you head and give you a patriarchal and a father's blessing, and say to thee: Thou art of Ephraim, born under the new and everlasting covenant of parents who are heirs and joint heirs with Jesus Christ in his great work here upon the earth. Thou art one of the choice vessels that has been held in reserve to come upon the earth in a gospel dispensation to minister among the children of men in things pertaining to the everlasting gospel. Thy life has been spared through an unseen power, for our Father's hand has been over you to preserve you from evil and those things that would detract from the work of the Lord. Our Father has a great work to preform and because of your faith and your virtue, having kept yourself pure and unspotted from the sins of the world, your life shall be spared to a remarkable old age, filled with the joy because of works of righteousness to be performed in our father's kingdom. The sorrows that shall come unto you will be because of the things that will come among the children of men that know not the Lord.

You have ability as an entertainer, by singing the sweet songs of Zion, also recitation. They will be for the uplift of man and blessing and comfort of those in distress, so I say unto you, cultivate your talents, let no opportunity pass by and our Father will bless you beyond measure for a song of the heart is a prayer unto God and He will sanctify it to your blessing and benefit.

Now I say unto you that you are one of the instruments that should come upon the earth to be an honored mother in Israel and your measure of motherhood shall be filled to your complete satisfaction and your sons and daughters shall be messengers of Eternal Truth among the children of men.

I pray our Father that He will look in much mercy upon you and make your body equal to the very task that shall be required of you and that you may have a perfect grasp of all truth and those things that are good for you both temporally and spiritually. And if you will live the laws and keep the commandments of our Father, the destroyer shall pass you by and you shall enjoy many of the good things of this world and the honor of men and women in the best society, and I pray our Father that if there are any misgivings in your mind that they may be banished from you and the spirit of the Lord take the place thereof.

Now Father, wilt thou be mindful of this, thy hand maid that she may have joy and satisfaction upon the earth and live to be a blessing to her family and all who she shall come in contact; that the testimony of the Gospel may burn in her heart that she may always have a ready answer to those inquiring after truth.

Now I seal upon you dear sister, Eternal Life, to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection crowned as a queen over your posterity, for none shall be lost for they are of that seed of the house of Israel, and these blessings are safe unto you, and I pronounce them upon you in the Authority of the Holy Priesthood through your faithfulness and in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
