Sister Elizabeth, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and by the power and authority of the holy priesthood in me vested, I lay my hands upon your head and confer upon you a patriarchal blessing and I say unto you, dear sister, be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God and all the former blessings and all the blessing He will confer upon you now, then you will realize the Lord has called you out from the world and has made you acquainted with the principles of life and salvation and in as much as thou hast listened to the call, thou hast received many treasures of knowledge and God has blessed you with faith, so you have been enabled to endure the trials through which you have been called to pass. He has prolonged your days upon the earth so that you could see the growth and development of His kingdom here upon earth, and in as much as you will put thy trust in Him, He will yet permit you to live as long as life is sweet to you.
Thou are of Ephraim and an heir to all the blessings of the new and everlasting covenant. The spirit of God shall comfort you when you are downcast, and His presence shall be near you when you are in trouble. Evil persons and wicked spirits shall have no power over you, and thou shalt have power to rebuke them and they shall flee from you. You shall yet be a blessing to your children and your children's children and your whole household. You shall be enabled to labor in the temple of the Lord for the redemption of your dead and they shall raise up and call you blessed. Thou will have peace of mind and all who associate with you will honor and revere you, and thy last days will be the most peaceful on earth. You shall teach thy children and grandchildren the ways of truth and righteousness and you shall have joy in seeing them grow up to be honorable instruments in the hands of God and shall establish His reign upon earth. Great sickness shall not befall thee, and when thy days are ripe with age, the Lord will take thee home without having to suffer much pain. Be faithful and diligent in keeping these blessings. The blessings that are promised to the faithful shall be yours and I seal you up unto eternal life in the presence of the Father, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
