Brother George, by the authority of the Holy Priesthood, I now pronounce upon thy head a patriarchal blessing. Thou art a descendant of Ephraim and thy lot shall be with the children of Ephraim. Inasmuch as thou art faithful, thou shalt be blessed with grace from our Heavenly Father, and the wiles of men shall not lead thee into by and forbidden paths, for thou shalt hear 'the still small voice,' declaring, 'this is the way, walk ye in it.' Seek carefully to follow the dictates of the Holy Spirit, which shall lead thee into all truth; it shall also be a guide unto thee temporally, and thou shalt be enabled to obtain the comforts of life, all sufficient for thy needs; also for the assistance of the poor and needy, whose friend and helper thou shalt always be. Thou shalt carry the gospel to foreign lands, and thy labors shall be blessed; Thou shalt return in honor to thy family, and the Destroyer shall not have power over them during thy absence. Thou shalt exercise the power of the priesthood in Zion, and shalt have the gift of healing. Thou shalt be called to fill high positions in the church. Be firm, and faithful. Despise not the day of small things, for the Lord desires to prove thee. I seal these blessings upon thee; and seal thee up unto eternal life; to stand with the redeemed in the Celestial Kingdom, the head of a numerous posterity. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
