Brother William Thomas, I lay my hands upon your head in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ and by the authority of the holy Priesthood. And I confer upon you a father's blessing, a Patriarchal blessing from the Lord. And bless you in behalf of your father, and for your father. You are a child of the Lord. The Lord loves you for your integrity; and has given you a probation in this generation because of your faithfulness in your previous estate; and you are an heir to the Holy Priesthood; and an heir in your father's family, equal with the first born. You are of the seed of Abraham, through the lines of Israel, Joseph and Ephraim, and you are entitled to their blessings. Because of your faithfulness the Lord will bless you with all the blessing pertaining to the New and Everlasting Covenant. He has blessed you with a mission, and no power will be permitted to take you from the earth until your mission is filled. The Lord has had a watch ear over you from the beginning of your existence. He has given you faith and his Holy Spirit and has brought you into His Church and Kingdom. He has conferred the Holy Priesthood upon you, and has given you a mission to perform, and you have performed it to his acceptance. He has given you wives and children in the House of the Lord and other blessings through your faithfulness. And he has still greater blessings for you and will give them to you in his own due time because you have been faithful.

And the blessings of principalities and powers, thrones and dominions and kingdoms will be given you. And you will come forth in the morning of the first resurrection with your wives and children and all that are worthy to come forth then. You will reign in the House of Jacob forever; and of the increase of your kingdom there will be no end, in connection with your father's kingdom. You will live many years to the honor and glory of the Lord, and live to a good old age; and accomplish a good work upon the earth. You will go and perform the mission that the Lord has for you in peace, and return in peace; and be a Savior of men; and a Savior in Mount Zion; and a Savior in the House of the Lord; and in your father's family; and your dead friends. You will accomplish a good work upon the earth to the satisfaction of the Lord and to the satisfaction of yourself. And when you have accomplished all the work that the Lord has for you, you will return with your fathers in the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven. All of these blessings I confer upon you and every other blessing that you stand in need of during your life and throughout all eternity.
