Brother *****, in the name of Jesus Christ and exercising the right of the holy calling which I hold as patriarch in this the _____ Stake, and according to your wish and desire, I place my hands upon your head to give unto you a patriarchal blessing. I most earnestly pray that the spirit of the Lord will be with us during this sacred hour, that we may feel the inspiration of His Holy Spirit, and that I may be able to speak and utter the proper words on this occasions, that this blessing may indeed be a comfort and a source of strength and inspiration throughout you life.

Dear brother, know that the Lord loves you and that you are numbered among the Lord's chosen. Because of your faithfulness in the spirit world you were chosen to come forth at this glorious time when the gospel is in the earth in its fullness. Your footsteps have been guided and your heart touched that you might hear and be receptive to the message of the restored Church. Know that the Lord rejoices in your acceptance of the gospel and in your willingness to go forth and to serve Him all the days of your life. The Lord, dear brother, has been mindful of you all the days of your life. He knows the desires of your heart and stands ready to bless your life and to grant unto you all that you request that would be expedient for you to receive and it shall be given unto you at the time and place it is needed for your advancement and to the glory of God. Live worthy of the Lord's goodness unto you and prepare your heart and mind to receive the blessings of the Lord.

You are one of the Lord's chosen and He has a great work for you to do. Through your faithfulness many opportunities for service will come unto you. You shall have the opportunity to teach the gospel and those who hear your voice will be invited into the fold of Christ to receive the blessings of the faithful. Your efforts, dear brother, will be crowned with success as many souls will be brought to the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You shall be called to positions of great responsibility in our Fathers Kingdom and shall set with good men and women and their plan and prepare for the advancement of the Lord's work in the earth. You shall be honored and esteemed of men for the gospels sake and your influence will be felt in many places. Your counsel will be sought and you shall be classed as a leader of men. Through your faithfulness you shall come to be numbered among the faithful and when your earthly mission is complete you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I bless you with health and strength and with a strong body that you may live a long and useful life and fill the full measure of your creation in the earth. The Lord shall bless you to the end that you may accomplish all He has set for you here to do.

Now, dear brother, in order that you may more fully complete your mission in life the Lord desires that you should have a helpmate and a companion in life. One who will be worthy of your high ideals and standards and be willing to go hand in hand with you into one of the Lord's holy temples and there be sealed for time and all eternity and receive the blessings of the sealing power of the holy priesthood. In the Lord's own due time this union will be blessed with children and they will be a source of joy and happiness unto you all the days of your life. Let the priesthood you hold rule in your home with love and understanding and I say unto you, if you are faithful in this, your family will follow in your footsteps as you follow in the footsteps of the Lord. Be unto your family not only a husband and father, but a counselor, teacher and friend. Be a living example of the gospel that you might lead your family along that path that leads to exaltation and eternal life.

We are living in glorious times when many of the prophecies of old are being fulfilled before our very eyes as the gospel is going forth to the peoples of the world in preparation for our Lord's great and glorious second coming. There are yet many great and marvelous things to take place in your lifetime that will bring you to a greater testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love worthy of these great events that you might be counted worthy to participate in them and stand in holy places.

You shall be blessed with the good things of this earth and shall never want for those things which support and sustain life. Through your faithfulness your way shall be made clear and the Lord shall guide your path.

Yours is a great heritage for you are of the chosen House of Israel through Ephraim and as such you shall inherit great and everlasting blessings. There is no greater linage than that of Israel. If you are faithful and continue to walk uprightly before our Heavenly Father you shall receive the blessings of your forefathers: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Now, dear brother, great are these blessings and they are yours through your faith and faithfulness in keeping the commandments of the Lord.

Now, dear brother, you know we are living in troubled times for Satan's hand can be seen in many places and this evil one is out to tempt man and to destroy our Father's Kingdom here on earth and so I bless you with the power of discernment that you might know truth from error. The snares that have been laid by the adversary to decoy you from the path of truth and right shall be removed and you shall walk in the light of truth as though it were the light of the noonday sun and nothing shall hinder your progress nor your advancement so long as you are engaged in the work of the Lord.

Now, dear brother, go forth and be of good cheer. Honor your priesthood and magnify you callings and you shall find joy in the work of the Lord. Let your light shine forth as a light upon a hill and the warmth and humility of your heart and soul will be a strength in your life and an influence for good among the children of men.

Go forth in the service of the Lord, sustain and uphold the leaders of the Church and you shall find joy and eternal rewards.

Look to the future with great joy and happiness for it holds for you many rich and rewarding experiences if faithfully lived and followed will be a means of exalting you in the celestial kingdom of God.

These, dear brother, are your blessings and I seal them upon you and seal you up unto eternal life to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection crowned with immortality and eternal life to receive a crown of glory reserved for those who have been true and faithful. I do this through the holy priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
