Sister Martha Lang Stevens, in the Name of our Lord and Master, I lay my hands upon your head and confer upon you a Patriarchal and a Father's blessing and I say unto you, Thou art of Ephraim, born under the new and everlasting covenant which makes you heir to Eternal life through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Thou were one of the select ones who were in our Father's council and did rejoice exceedingly, with your companion, for the privilege of coming upon the earth and becoming an honored mother in Israel. And your heart shall be made to rejoice exceedingly for it shall be your privilege to send your sons and your daughters to proclaim the glad tidings of great joy among the children of men. And you shall be crowned with much glory for the doors of the house of the Lord shall be opened unto you and you shall be a savioress in your father's house. Your progenitors are of that noble class who did accept the gospel in foreign lands and they are they who have been faithful in the work of the Lord.

Thy life has been spared through an unseen power for Satan has sought to destroy you in your youthful moments. Thou hast been nigh unto death's door and knew it not but our Father has preserved you. I seal upon you, Dear Sister, eternal life to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
