*****, in humility I place my hands upon your head as an ordained patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and by the authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, to bestow your patriarchal blessing as the Spirit may direct. You possess a special and loving spirit, *****, and have been blessed in many ways. Your Father in Heaven has rewarded you for your faithfulness in your pre-earth life, with the opportunity to experience mortality at this time, and this place and in your favorable circumstances. You have an opportunity to enjoy all of the blessings that have been provided by the atonement of the Savior, including the process of repentance and the opportunity to qualify to return to your Heavenly Father with all your loved ones.
You have received priesthood powers and ordinances that will prepare you for all of those blessings and will also prepare you for your mission here in mortality. Be grateful for all of this. Be grateful for your family and their love for you and all they have done to assist you and to prepare you and teach you those things that are important. You have responded well and have avoided many of the problems and difficulties that come to others of your generation. Continue in faithfulness and to learn and gain knowledge of those things your Heavenly Father desires for you to do.
Through regular study of the scriptures and the teachings of the prophets, gain and (sic) understanding of the plan of salvation. This includes the fall of Adam, physical and spiritual deaths, the atonement by the Savior, the process of repentance, universal resurrection, and the possibility, through your faithfulness, to gain exaltation and eternal life with your loved ones. I bless you, that as your knowledge and understanding increases, that your testimony will grow and increase in a corresponding manner. That understanding and testimony will direct you in many ways in your life and will influence the decisions you make. It will also give you comfort and strength and hope in times of difficulty and discouragement and sorrow.
I bless you with increasing sensitivity to the whisperings of the still, small voice, that you will hear and will recognize the promptings that will come to you, mostly as impressions and feelings in your mind and in your heart. You will be warned of dangers, both physical and spiritual, through this precious and sacred source. Those promptings come quietly and are easily missed when you are preoccupied with the things of this world. Take time to meditate and to reflect upon your many blessings and upon things of a spiritual nature, that you will be open and receptive to this flow of inspiration. Pay particular attention to those promptings that are repetitive.
You are greatly blessed to be of the royal seed of Israel through Ephraim. This entitles you to all of the blessings promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their posterity. As you gain an understanding of lineage and of the blessings that were promised to the children of Israel, you will be grateful for this choice heritage and will desire to live worthy to receive those promised blessings.
You have been blessed through temple covenants to receive an eternal companion who loves you and has pledged her life to you. Be grateful for this union and recognize the eternal nature of your relationship. Do all that you can to preserve and to protect that relationship and also the association with your children and posterity. Frequently and sincerely express your love and appreciation to her and sustain and support her in her important role as a wife and mother. I bless you that you will be able to overlook and to overcome differences and difficulties, that your love continue to grow forever. Be a worthy and loving example to your children. Teach them to know and to love their Heavenly Father and the Savior. By your loving example and influence, they will qualify to be part of your eternal family and will bring joy and rejoicing throughout eternity.
Return often to the temple. You will gain an understanding and appreciation of the meaning and symbolism of those ceremonies and covenants. Faithfully and properly wear your temple garments at all times for they will surely be a shield and a protection to you, both spiritually and physically and will constantly remind you of your covenants and of the wonderful blessings that will come to you through faithfulness.
Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. Make it a day of attending your meetings, renewing your covenants, scripture study, prayer and service to others. Avoid making it a day of recreation, merchandising, labor or of worldly entertainment. Your faithfulness to this important commandment will determine the spiritual strength of you and your family and will also protect you and your family from many dangers both seen and unseen.
You have been blessed to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood. Through your worthiness and faith, you will be able to use your priesthood to claim the powers of heaven to guide your thoughts and to ratify the words you speak in blessings, administrations and ordinances. It will be your right to bless your own family and others with blessings of healing, comfort and strength and to provide wise counsel and guidance for your loved ones.
Be willing to accept the callings that will come to you through inspired leaders to serve in the quorums, organizations and wards. Some of those callings will appear, at first, to exceed your capabilities. As you do all that you can, your Heavenly Father will bless you with gifts and talents, and will multiply and magnify your abilities, that you will be able to fulfill all that you are called upon to do to further the work of this dispensation. You will find joy and growth through your service and will develop friendships that will continue into the eternities.
Be diligent in all you do and you will have the assistance of your Heavenly Father to aid you to meet the tasks and challenges that will come to you in your life. You will be strengthened and will feel His loving assistance guiding you. Do all that you can to prepare yourself for all your roles as a husband, father and provider. I bless you that you will be able to accomplish all that you desire and that your family desires for you.
When you faithfully complete your intended mission in mortality, you will be taken home to your Heavenly Father. He will welcome you and will invite you to enter into His joy and rest as a reward for your diligence. You will qualify to be among the first fruits of the resurrection and will reunite with your loved ones and will dwell together in a never ending state of joy and happiness. I seal these blessings upon you, and remind you that the fulfilment (SIC) is conditioned upon your faithfulness. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
