Brother *****, By virtue of the holy Melchizedek priesthood, I lay my hands upon your head and give you a patriarchal blessing which you have expressed a desire for that it might be a guide to you concerning your Father in heavens wishes for you.

Brother ***** you are a descendant of the patriarch Abraham and are of the lineage of Ephraim which is a noble and royal lineage.

You have been blessed to receive in childhood the message of the gospel and have been blessed because of your lineage and because of the faithfulness around you, your family and others. This has come to you as a free gift, what it will mean in your life will depend on you as all blessings are predicated upon laws. You have been blessed with great abilities, abilities of associations with people, abilities of intellect, abilities of administration. I bless you now that you may use these gifts with which you have been blessed to the blessing of your family and the building of the kingdom of your Father in heaven. I bless you that you might have the gift of speech and the gift of expression, that you can expound the righteous principles of the gospel to other people and will seize those opportunities to verbalize those principles of the everlasting gospel to their benefit. I bless you that you might be inspired to know those words that should be spoken at all times, that you will have the ability to perceive the environment in which you find yourself and will be able to have a discerning spirit about you. You will find yourself in circumstances where righteousness does not prevail, with your discerning spirit you may perceive those situations of unholiness and may be able to withdraw yourself from them. I bless you that you may be able to resist the temptations that come into your life because they will be there and they will be great. Temptations that if allowed to take influence over you could destroy you spiritually. I bless you that you might have the spirit of our Father in Heaven and the strength to withstand these temptations, but the obligation is yours to remove yourself from these influences and avoid them.

I bless you that you might find joy in this life with your dear wife and your family that you might experience the joys of the family life and become a patriarch unto your family, to lead them in righteousness. You will have opportunities to serve in the organizations of the church, to be an influence for good, to work with the youth of the church. Seize these opportunities and use them as growing experiences. I bless you that as you work with the youth of the church you might have insight into their problems and they will come to you with their problems and you will be able to perceive their needs and help them. You will be called to important positions in the church, at no time decline these callings. Seek first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added upon you. Do not place in your life monetary things ahead of the gospel. All of the blessings of material things of the world will come to you as you need them if you will serve the Lord. I bless you that you might be able to enjoy in your life the freedom of a conscience that you will be able to exercise the principle of repentance such that your conscience may be free of encumbrances and that you may look at your wife with joy and the knowledge that you are worthy of her and she of you.

Now I bless you that you may be able to live to the appointed number of years for your mission; that you might here upon this earth accomplish all that your Father in heaven would have you accomplish preparatory to returning to Him. Recognize that all blessings come from the Lord and are predicated upon our worthiness to receive them. Now I bless you that you might come forth in the resurrection with the joy and satisfaction of meeting your loved ones and may participate in that glorious ordinance to the benefit of others.

I seal these blessings upon you as a servant of the Lord and in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
