Brother ***** in the name of Jesus Christ, and by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood, and in my calling, I lay my hands upon your head and give you your patriarchal blessing.

Now *****, I pray for the spirit of our father in heaven to be here in attendance as you receive your blessing, as we have fasted and prayed for his spirits to be with us. ***** I would have you to know that I pray that this blessing will be beneficial to you, will be helpful to you throughout your life. For ordinarily it would be the only patriarchal blessing that you shall receive.

***** I bless you with the righteous desires of your heart. I bless you that you shall always hold fast to the rod of iron. That you will never sway to the left or to the right. That you will always have a great desire that you shall live the word of wisdom, that you shall never partake in to your body anything that would be harmful to your body, to your spirit, or to your mind.

I bless you with a great love for your scriptures, that you will study them, and ponder them, and pray over them. that you will realize that in Psalms our Father is talking to you when he said 'I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praise to my god while I have my being.' now ***** I bless you that you will truly sing to your God, that you will sing his praises, that you will tell everyone that you come in contact with that will allow you to talk to them about your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. now by this I don't mean that you will go out and become fanatic and talk only about the Savior, but that you will use every opportunity that you have to preach, teach, and exhort. That when your mission call comes that it will be to a place that will be warm and friendly, and that you will have great success so long as you teach by the correct principles of the church. You will be watched over by your special guardian angel while you are away on your mission. If you are humble and faithful you shall have much success in bringing people into the church.

When your mission is over, I bless you that you will go to our Father in Heaven on your knees and inquire of him as to what he would have you do with the remainder of your life. Listen to the sweet spirit. Your father will probably tell you to complete your education, because an education makes good people better, you will need your education to provide for your family. I bless you that you will have a goal, that you shall not marry out of the Covenant, that you will find the beautiful young lady that you will take her by the hand and together, you and she will lead your family to the Celestial Kingdom, of our Father in heaven. You are responsible, *****, for working out your sole salvation, nothing short of a temple marriage will do, for you must reach the Celestial Kingdom to be happy, and you must go this route to reach the Celestial Kingdom.

I bless you that you will realize that you come from a great heritage. You are related to Joseph of old, through the loins of Ephraim, choice son of Joseph, and so long as you live the principles of the gospel you shall have the blessings of the patriarchs of old, even Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The greatest blessing that you can receive from this great heritage is the blessing of the Melchizedek priesthood. I bless you that you shall magnify your calling, that you shall grow with your priesthood, that you will use it to bless the lives of those you come in contact with.

I bless you *****, to realize that again in Psalms our Savior is talking to you when he said: 'The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are indeed over all his work.' May you be a part of his works, may you be able to be instrumental, and to carry his gospel to the peoples of the earth. As a descendant of Ephraim, you shall have the charge and the challenge to preach, teach, and exhort, so long as you live upon this earth.

Now *****, I bless you that you should prepare for difficult times that may come in your life, that you should rely upon your testimony, that it will sustain you. And as those voices that you shall hear say nay hear, and nay there, but you will look straight forward and hold steadfast to the rod of iron. That you may be steadfast and immovable in your religious beliefs. It is very important that you live the word of wisdom, where Father in heaven can bless you.

I bless you to realize that where much is given, much is expected, and my young friend you have been given much. You have been given a brilliant mind, a healthy body, may you use your mind for the betterment of mankind. May you use your body to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ upon the earth. Prepare to raise a righteous family, our Father in heaven will be desirous to send children to you and your wife to raise, may you teach them of his ways, and teach them correct principles.

Now *****, I would exhort you to remain close to your family, to rely upon them, to ask for their advice, and realize that they love you, they would do anything on this earth possible for you even to the point of giving their life for you were it required of them, but it will not be required of them. However, remember that it was required of your Father in Heaven, to give the life of his son, even Jesus Christ, for your behalf, that you may have resurrection. That you may be able to enter the celestial kingdom of our Father in heaven. May you always desire to serve Him. May you always have a desire to live the word of wisdom, whereby you may walk and not faint, you may run and not be weary.

I bless you to use your talents. You will be blessed with the ability to communicate with people. You will be blessed with the ability to communicate also through music. At this time I seal all these blessings and any other our Father might have in store for you and send you forth to prepare for the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for you shall be instrumental in ushering in his second great coming, and do so in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, amen.
