Sister *****, by the power of the holy priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ and as your stake patriarch, I lay my hands upon your head at this time to give you this, your patriarchal blessing. Now dear young sister, you have come here today with an open heart and an open mind desiring your patriarchal blessing and to know the direction that you should go as you live here upon the earth and as you leave the earth. It is for that purpose in part that your patriarchal blessing is given to you at this time. Your Father in Heaven is so pleased with you and with your efforts and knows of your ups and downs in your life here upon the earth and is so pleased with the decisions you have made and has a great desire for you to be happy and for you to be an instrument in His hands to help bring about the gospel to others here upon the earth and to help prepare for the Savior's Second Coming.

You have within you a sweet spirit, one which is a spirit that can reach out and touch the lives of others, and that will indeed come to pass in the years to come. You will have the opportunity to touch the hearts of many as the years go on and as you strive to live the commandments. As you do so you will have a better understanding of them and a better understanding even of yourself. As we all live here upon the earth under different circumstances, we all hopefully come to the point where we strive to live the commandments.

You have a Father in Heaven who loves you and who is concerned about you and wants you to succeed and who wants you to be happy in all of your endeavors. You will come to this understanding. Your Father in Heaven asks that you live the commands and that you be obedient to the commandments. By so doing you will find yourself to be free, free to come and go and to act under those guidelines. Never ever compromise your standards and that which you know deep down inside in your heart to be true and honest. Always be of great courage and be faithful.

You will be known as a woman of great worth, a woman of great value as you live here upon the earth and again will have the opportunity to touch the lives of many. The time will come in your life when you will travel to the House of the Lord and there you be sealed to one of who you love and one who loves you, a companion who has prepared himself to go to the House of the Lord and holds the appropriate priesthood and again will love and cherish you. Through that union there will be children. Those children will come into your life as a blessing. You will realize the great, sweet experience it is of being a parent here upon the earth and of being even a co-creator with your Father in Heaven.

Always remember that you are indeed a young woman of great value, of great worth and have much to do as you live here upon the earth. You have not been placed here upon the earth by chance. You have been placed here because of a choice that you made before you came to the earth, a choice whereby you agreed to come to the earth and go through this mortal existence and prove yourself worthy to return to your Father in Heaven and to help prepare the way for the Savior's Second Coming. It is for that purpose that you have been placed here upon the earth.

You have many talents. Those talents need to be developed. You have talents that others do not have, and those talents need to be developed. You have within you a heart that is one of compassion and one of understanding, and you will use that gift from your Father in Heaven for the benefit of others as you live here upon the earth.

Remember your parents. Always remember and respect them. Remember those who have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel message who have passed on, even those in your own family, to reach out to them and get caught up in the spirit of Elijah. As you do so you will bless their lives as well as you will bless your own life and the lives of your own family here upon the earth as you do so.

Now you have descended through Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and Joseph and have descended through the loins of Manasseh and as such are of a very choice lineage, one which has certainly been placed here upon the earth and has been given the charge to help prepare for the Savior's Second Coming. I bless you that you will realize that you are of a royal household, a royal generation and always conduct yourself accordingly.

Now there are upon the earth today many things that are interesting, many things that serve to benefit man. Yet there is much upon the earth today that is of little or no importance, and it is somewhat confusing. Be not confused in your decisions. If you live your life worthily and you strive to live the commandments, you will never have confusion in those decisions. You will always be guided by the Holy Ghost to make the appropriate decisions. You have within you the ability to lead and guide your own family in the years to come as you find yourself a matriarch even in your own family. The Lord will guide you and will bless you in your efforts.

Now take upon you the attributes of the Savior, working towards unconditional love for all those who live here upon the earth, even those that it may seem difficult to love. That is the true test of the Savior's example, to reach out and love those that we may have difficulty in loving and reaching out to. As you do so you will grow much closer with your Father in Heaven and again you will be regarded as a woman of great value and of great worth.

Now the time will come when you will hold many church callings. As you do so you will be blessed and you will have the opportunity to bless the lives of others, especially young women, to bless them and to set a good example for them. As you do so the Lord will bless you.

Now I bless you at this time and send you forth. I bless that you will come forth on the morning of the Resurrection and there to inherit those blessings that your Father in Heaven has in store for you as a sister who has lived her life faithfully and appropriately here upon the earth. Now I seal this blessing on you at this time, dear sister, and I do so in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
