Our loving eternal Father in Heaven, with love and gratitude to Thee, and by the authority of the holy Melchizedek priesthood as an ordained patriarch in Carson City, Nevada Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I lay my hands upon the head of *****, and seal upon him a patriarchal blessing, that he might have some guidelines to go through his life with. We ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit to dictate those words spoken in this blessing, that we might have the knowledge that it came from Thee, and able to fulfill the obligations which we have.

Now Brother *****, there are several principles of a patriarchal blessing, and one is to declare the lineage from which tribe you shall receive your eternal blessings from. You are from the tribe of Ephraim and shall receive your eternal blessings through this tribe, which are given to the grandsons of Jacob, that this tribe, the tribe of Ephraim, will be instrumental in the restoration of the gospel in the latter-days and we give you the missionary spirit at this time. That you might fulfill and succeed in all that you are asked to do.

It is also a time to give you some of the possibilities that await you as you go through this life. The things that you may accomplish if you are diligent and obedient to your covenants. That you might consider strongly the gospel and that you will receive the necessary guidance and the desire to serve a full-time mission, so that you might succeed in helping to build the kingdom of your Father in Heaven. That you might succeed in serving in many callings that you will have the opportunity to help in the Lord's church, and be able to fulfill these callings to the best and fullest of your ability, and that you will be a great instrument in the hand of your Father in Heaven as He builds His kingdom here upon this earth. Now we bless that you will have the ability to recognize the hand of the adversary in all things, and use the priesthood which you shall gain to dismiss him from your presence and be able to overcome him, and not be enticed by his devious methods. We bless you with the ability to cast him from your presence, that you might accomplish all that you are asked to do. We bless you that you will have the ability to complete your education. That you will be able to have knowledge necessary to fulfill those duties and obligations which you will receive from time to time. Now we bless you with love and understanding for your fellow beings. Especially those close to you in your family that you are around much of the time. That you will be able to have love and forgiveness in your mind and in your heart, and be able to carry out those things necessary for you to develop a Christ like attitude at all times. We bless you that you will seek to learn from the scriptures, and be able to gain knowledge that is necessary to ask your Father in Heaven for guidance and direction, and that you will quiet your mind, that you will be able to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and be able to have the guidance and direction you need to complete all that you are asked to do. Now we bless you that you might accomplish the things necessary to be an eternal family. That you will strive to attain the holy priesthood, and then be able to prepare yourself to enter the Lord's house and receive the blessings and ordinances that are given there. That you will desire to serve a mission and that you will use this priesthood on this mission to be of benefit and service of others. That you might accomplish all that you are asked to do. Now we bless you, that when the time is right, you will seek an eternal companion to take to the Lord's house, and be able to fulfill the necessary obligations to receive these ordinances. Now we bless that you might enjoy the health and the strength that you will need to be an example to all those around you that your Father in Heaven desires of you. We bless you also with the opportunity to serve in many interesting and important callings in Heavenly Father's church. That you might be worthy at all times to receive the guidance and direction that you need from Him. Now this blessing, together with all other blessings that await you through your faithfulness and through your obedience in keeping the covenants which you have made, I seal upon you by virtue of the holy priesthood, and in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
