Brother Hiram, in the name of Jesus Christ I lay my hands upon thy head to seal a father's blessing upon thee, because thy father is absent, nevertheless thou art entitled to a blessing under my hands. Thou art of the seed and lineage of Joseph, who was sold into Egypt, and an heir to the blessing and priesthood which was sealed upon his head under the hands of his father, which will enable thee to be a Savior on Mount Zion to save thy dead and living friends, and to bring them up in the resurrection of the just, and to reign over them to all eternity, also to push the scattered remnants of Jacob from the ends of the earth, and no power on earth shall stay thy hand, for the Lord has given his angels charge over thee. They will guard thee by night and day, defend thee from all dangers, and no enemy shall prevail against thee, and no bonds nor chains shall stay thy progress. Thou shalt converse with angels from time to time. This shall be thy comfort when thou art far away from thy friends.

Thou shalt accomplish a great mission and bring thy thousands to Zion with their gold and silver and precious things to thine inheritance among thy brethren, and rest in peace with thy companion and a numerous posterity. The number of thy years shall be according to thy faith, even to see the winding up scene of this generation, to see Zion extended and peace established over the whole continent of America. Finally thou shalt have every desire of thy heart, and shall inherit glory, honor, immortality, and eternal life, and I also seal this blessing upon thy posterity forever. If thy faith fail not not one word of this blessing shall fail, for I seal it upon thee by the authority of the Holy Priesthood. Amen.

Brother Hiram, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I lay my hands upon your head as a father in Israel to seal, ratify, and confirm all the blessings which you have hitherto received, the truth you are entitled to, the blessings of the gospel of salvation. You have gathered forth the saints. Therefore you shall be blessed, for you are a lawful heir, a literal descendant of Ephraim, and have a claim on the blessings of the covenant restored in these last days, which are to be confirmed upon the seed of Abraham.

You shall have wives and children, even a numerous posterity, and notwithstanding Satan has many times desired to have you, that he might sift you as wheat, but the Lord has held you and you shall be blessed and prospered, help to build up the kingdom, assist in the defense of Zion and in the rolling forth of the work of God, be a blessing to your father's house and to your progenitors and all to whom you are called.

You shall have an opportunity of doing much good in your day and generation, live upon the earth till you are satisfied with life. The blessings of the heavens shall be upon you, and if you will keep the commandments and keep hold of the rod of iron, you shall be delivered from darkness. You shall yet have an opportunity of assisting to avenge the blood of the prophets. Stand in defense of your holy religion which you have long since embraced.

If you will abide the laws of the celestial kingdom, celestial blessings are yours. Have power to come forth with the redeemed in the morning of the first resurrection, be schooled in the school of Christ, learn the principles pertaining to the restoration of your forefathers that you may be a savior upon Mount Zion. These blessings I seal upon your head that you may be faithful in life, receive a crown of glory, be associated with those that are behind the veil, enjoy the blessings of the new heavens and the new earth when it is celestialized, which I seal upon your head with an eternal seal, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, even so. Amen.
